Good Flavour, Versatile, Great Value, Recommended
This is a set of 6 x 100g tubes of Miso Sweet and Savoury Paste that come in a small cardboard and plastic packaging tray that enables easy storage in your cupboard, the packaging is all fully recyclable. The paste is made from naturally fermented rice miso from Japan that is both Vegan and Gluten free. It is highly versatile and can be used as a glaze, a marinade, a dressing or simply drizzled onto food. The paste has a rich flavour that is similar to Hoisin sauce in both flavour and consistency. It is easy to squeeze out of the tube directly onto food or it can be mixed with water to make a marinade or to brush on or drizzle onto food.At £6.03 (price at time of review) for the 6 tubes it makes them approximately £1 each which is good value and a single tube can last quite a while. They come with a long expiration date which means there is no hurry to use them.Overall this is a quality product at an excellent price and it adds flavour to many dishes and recipes. I am happy to give it a 5 star rating and to recommend it to you.I hope that this review has been helpful to you in deciding whether this is the right product for you.

So tasty!
This is a very tasty addition to our everyday food. Something oriental, something new and different. It is great to use in many ways for many dishes. We particularly like it as an addition to the salads. It gives them this rich and tangy taste. It is also amazing as a glaze for the chicken or salmon - so yummy.Recently I also started using it for my stir fry. The perfect combination of blends. It is just very, very tasty.Highly recommended!

Miso or just soy?
Note that this stuff is not miso paste but is supposed to be a pre-prepared miso paste based sauce for marinade, glazing, drizzle, etc. It is quite versatile in that you can be ready to use in various ways, we have used it for marinading cod and for glazing roasted vegetables. The taste is nice and slightly disappointingly subtle but to me it just tastes like soy. Miso has a distinctive taste and I am not getting it from using this. This pack came with six 100g tubes, I used about 1/3 of a tube marinading cod fillets and slightly less for glazing a pan of roasted vegetables. At the current price each tube costs just over £2 per tube, which isn’t the best of value for what you will get out of it. I feel i am better off sticking to my own seasonings and soy sauce. I am pleased to have tried it, it is really easy to use and tastes nice but not enough for me to buy it again.

Delicious, healthy and versatile for many meals!
Miso is a traditional asian ingredient for many dishes. If you are new to miso, I’m sure you will love it ! It is quite salty in taste but offers exceptional health benefits, and not to mention, great depths of flavour to several dishes including soups and even meat/veg based dishes.I have never tried Sweet and Savoury Miso before, nor this brand (Miso). I will admit, these are very handy and convenient to have in the kitchen as adding some to any dish can add some much needed flavour (and salt), enhancing your overall eating experience. I found that the sweetness helped balance the miso nicely and found it was perfect when topped over aubergines and put inside a grill for 5-10 minutes.Miso isn’t very cheap, especially if you want to get the good quality and authentic ones. This is a great place to start if you are new to miso and want to start incorporating it into your homemade dishes. Great quality and reasonable value in my opinion, 5 stars.Thank you for reading my honest review, I hope you found it helpful! :)

Love yuzu, love this paste
I have to say I have loved the flavour of yuzu since I was lucky enough to visit Japan some 15 years ago. It was something I'd never tried before visiting and I remember loving it but finding it very difficult indeed to find yuzu flavoured products in the UK on my return. It is certainly a lot easier for the last 5-10 years but I hadn't tried this paste before ordering it here.I've had Miso Tasty products before and they have always been enjoyable so I had a high degree of confidence in trying this. I particularly liked the idea of adding it as a glaze to meat dishes and of course over the highly popular baked aubergine. My first go was with chicken fillets and the aubergine dish. Both turned out great, particularly the aubergine as it provided a sweet umami flavouring that really worked superbly.Since then I have tried with pork belly, monkfish (really good) and scallops. It is a very versatile paste and the balance of flavours is really very good. Makes it incredibly simple to lift a simple ingredient into something special. I would highly recommend trying this paste.

Okay, but not amazing
While I certainly didn’t dislike the flavour of this paste, I did find it a little disappointing and lacking in that miso taste. Maybe it’s just a very subtle flavour I’m not picking up on, but I certainly can get a citrus taste of it. We used to marinade salmon and that worked really well, but once you’ve had it a few times, you kind of forget it’s there in the cupboard. As such we didn’t get through the whole box before the relatively short best before date.

Little flavour
I’m not really sure what to make of this, I’ve tried it in several dishes, both hot and cold, and it really seems to make no difference to the taste of the dish. Only after adding a lavish quantity can I taste anything, and I can't say that I particularly like it. It's hard to say what it tastes of, other than to say that it is rather an odd flavour, not particularly exciting. If anything it reminds me of Virol (ViRol). At approaching £3 per tube, it is a lot to pay, it seems a lot to pay, especially when you need so much of it before you can taste it.

The sugar is really high
I bought this having heard Miso paste is a wonderful flavour for marinating meats, unfortunately I don’t find the flavour pleasant.Additionally it’s almost 50% sugar, so I wont be using this.

The MOLLE sheath is of exceptional quality. Very happy with my purchase.
Glaze: For classic Miso Aubergine, top roasted aubergines with miso before grilling until golden. For the famous Miso Cod dish, simply spread a thin layer of miso onto fish before roasting. Marinade: Coat meat, fish or vegetables with a thin layer of miso before cooking. Drizzle: Mix with a little water for a miso salad dressing.
