It’s very sturdy and the color is great but no handle which was the main reason why I bought this one.

Easy to clean .. looks so cool and bright to take pictures

This is a bit smaller than I expected but it's really nice for serving that cheese course after a dinner party or before as appetizer. You can, if your chalk is pointy, write out the sort of cheese you place on the board. Or just admire the pretty stone for what it is. Slate is a beautiful material and having lived by a slate field as a kid in Pennsylvania, I love looking at it for its natural beauty.Absolutely lovely with modern black or white dishes and works with any style, classic, country, European, retro.I like charcuterie and cheese as a course and often serve that to my close friends. I probably would recommend buying a second one of these --use one for meats and one for cheeses, or have one at each end of the table. The local grocery stores now carry a surprising selection of European style sliced sausages and artisan cheese. As a dessert, there is nothing simpler but as satisfying as a room temperature good cheese like Stilton or Brie and some fruit and a glass of something like Madeira, Marsala, Port or my favorite, Grappa.

For hot and cold. I was so excited to get this. Instead mine arrived broken in half. If I was a paying customer I could have returned for a replacement. It's stylish and I would have. As is, I have something broken that is so not worth the tax I will pay. But It's gorgeous and would recommend

The product itself seems nice and the edges aren't too sharp. But there's no handle on the real product so it doesn't match the product image exactly. It was also packaged in a bubble mailer with a bubble wrap sleeve scrunched at the bottom. The product wasn't even in the bubble wrap. It came very broken and I got slate dust all over the place. This should have been sent in a box, not a thin bubble mailer. The product itself probably deserves 4 stars (only because it doesn't quite match the image) and I'd be happy to update the rating if I'm able to get a replacement that comes in one piece.
