Extended Plate with F63 Clamp for 410 Gear Head - Made in U.S.A

Wouldn't have bought a Manfrotto 410 head - with its crazy plate system - if this wasn't available.Mildly annoying that the other 10-32 plate mounting hole, on the 45mm circle, is missing. Close inspection suggests that Mr Hejnar could fit it, without interfering with the mounting screws.The supplied clamp is excellent, though I'd prefer a shorter clamp knob.I don't understand why anyone would buy the non-extended plate, which fails to fix the Manfrotto design bug of the clamp not being centred over the panning axis.Edit [a year later]The anodising on Hejnar parts is very tough.The big (82.5mm) wide clamp is - for me - overkill. Hejnar's 60mm clamp (described as 2.375") would be more than adequate for me. As well as being smaller and a little lighter, the smaller clamp can be mounted with three bolts in three orientations.I struggle to understand the circumstances where the bit clamp would offer a practical benefit.

This is a solid piece of equipment. It's manufactured beautifully and fits my 410 gear head perfectly. Everything about this piece indicates high quality. The plate was quite easy to install but it would have been helpful if there had been an instruction sheet or manual in the package. There is, however, an instruction video on YouTube which is very helpful. This plate is the extended version so it's a little longer, but it centres the camera exactly in the middle of the tripod. The clamp is big but rock solid. Product was shipped very quickly and arrived without a problem. Very happy with this purchase.

Crazy easy to install and the nicest arca clamp I own!!! Completely salvaged my old manfrotto head that I had grown to hate.

A necessary replacement for the horrible Manfrotto QR system. Consider it a necessity when buying the 405/410 heads.

A vital replacement for Manfrotto's kluge QD plate/clamp on their 410/405 geared heads. You can save a little by buying the Hejnar conversion plate and another brand's cheaper clamp but them you don't get 3 screw mounting either.
