Smells soft almost like vanilla, creamy, and was not as oily as I thought it would be.I have hair curl patterns that vary depending on where it is growing on my scalp and the products I use. The curl pattern ranges from 2a to 3c.The product arrived wrapped tightly in plastic with an extra strong tape over the top and a seal over the cream.This product was used after a clarifying shampoo and after shampoo conditioner of different brands.Let me explain my hair. My hair is starved for protein and performs best when it is moisturized and slightly oiled to replace lost oils.Some people with straight type 1 hair frown upon oil on the hair because they lack knowledge about skin. I used to teach biology so forgive my explanation. It’s a habit.Skin produces oil. Furthermore, most human beings have skin that produces oil.The scalp is skin. When people say they have a dry flaky scalp, they need to know that they may have a yeast infection on the scalp, an allergy to the products they are using, or too much product sitting on the scalp. Some people use oils and creams to relieve dry scalp. I do not recommend this product for oiling the scalp.Next, hair is made of protein. Skin and hair are mostly protein.Oil also known as fat is required for the human body cells to work properly.Straight hair releases oil that drains down the straight line of the hair - so straight hair people, natural straight and chemicallyrelaxed, try to rid their hair of excess oils.Those oils are normal, but Society says oils are bad.The truth is that natural hair oils are good. Any natural oil or fat will smell bad when oxidized - exposed to air too long. We wash our hair to remove oils and freshen the smell.Curly hair tends to keep the oil closer to the scalp - at least in my case. My hair needs the oil to continue traveling. Takes a long time for the oil to go round and round to my ends.In addition, I have a lot of grey hairs appearing that have a coarser texture. I am trying to help my hair continue to grow instead of drying and breaking. That’s my story. Yours may be different and that’s okay.After washing and conditioning my spiral curly locks, I applied Avalon Keracare Natural Butter Cream.The Butter Cream was repelled by the water. This was not a bad event. Oil and water do not easily mix. Bear with me. I’m getting to the point.This event tells me that the Butter Cream may work better on my hair when my hair is dry. I will continue to use the product to see if it is beneficial on my dry hair.As my hair dried, it became a 4a in some places and 3c everywhere else. This was not the result I was seeking. I wanted to keep my natural spirals.Thus far, coconut oil, almond oil, and a product called one ‘n only Argan Oil mixture keeps my curlspirals the best.I suspect this product will work best on straight and flat ironed hair because it will repel humidity without being greasy or heavy. A little goes a long way, so start with a small dime sized amount. Add more if your hair seems like it needs it.I will apply Keracare Natural Texture Butter after a flat iron and report back if my findings change.I hope you found this review helpful as you try to make a decision.

I dilute this in water and use for my locs. It leaves them soft and moisturized. It is soothing to the scalp too. The only thing I don't like is the smell. My boyfriend does not like the smell either. It has a scent sort of like the old school Pro Styl hair gel. We do not like that smell at all! I mix it with water, tea tree, and orange oil (to mask the smell) in a spray bottle and I spray it on my locs after a shampoo and the next two days after. It is great! I would give it 5 stars if it wasn't for the scent.

Avlon KeraCare Natural Textures Butter Cream 8 oz One of the absolute best hair moisturizer creme on the market (for my hair type)!!! Yeah I said it like that because it is like that. I do my research thoroughly before I try a product. I combing thru many reviews pros and cons, natural hair blogs, You Tube reviews, and look at the texture of other people hair to see how closely their texture relates to my own before I folk up my hard earned dollar bills. The creme has a buttery, lotion type feeling when I rub it around on my finger tips. I test it on my leg to see how long it keep an area moisten... It past the test. Also I always add a few drops of castor oil to all my hair products and found that I did not have to do this with this creme. I have thin but highly dense naturally curly (its is thick... 3c with a mixture of 4a/4b... I am a true mutt)... meaning when Jerry Curls where out...I could just used the activator and get the same look as a person with the chemical process. This stuff is great. Non greases or oily just right. Try it out you won't be disappointed if you have hair like mines at least.

Product arrived damaged, couldn't close the top. It was delivered to a senior citizen who was not able to return it.

Since going natural December 2010, it's difficult at times to find products that work with your hair type. The Keracare Naturals haircare line has been great for me. The Butter Cream Everyday Moisturizer has become my favorite staple. I love the way it feels, and it smells great! The moisture it provides is awesome and I've worn the best twist-outs using this on damp hair. Once dry, my natural curls are full, fluffed, soft, moisturized, and shiny. And my hair smells edible. This product is DEFINITELY A WINNER!!!!

I OVERLY LOVE this product! It definitely keeps your hair moisturized without being greasy. It also lasts pretty long. I used this product before installing faux locs and when I took my hair down it wasn't dry at all. Definitely worth buying if you have natural hair and looking for something to keep it moisturized. This will be a staple for me to use.

Love this curl cream. I like that it’s in a pot so no waste, every bit gets used. It leaves my curls soft and moisturised. Smells good too.

Sehr gutes Produkt zur Pflege und Styling von krausigem Haar. Man benötigt nicht all zu viel Haarcreme pro Anwendung. Empfehlung von meiner Friseurin. Leider sehr teures Pridukt und online nicht günstiger wie bei meiner Friseurin vor Ort.

J'ai les cheveux bouclés de type 3A plutôt secs. Après avoir testé plusieurs produits mon problème restait le même: mes cheveux restaient secs et cassants sur les pointes, de plus je devais les réhydrater très souvent. Keracare est top, mes cheveux sont hydratés et les boucles biens définis je n'ai même pas besoin de les réhydrater souvent. Ce produit tient bien et sublime mes cheveux. De plus la composition est saine, il sent très bon également. Je l'adopte à 100 %. La consistance fait que le pot va me durer fort longtemps or j'ai les cheveux longs et bien denses.

Contrariamente a quanto si legge sulla confezione, il prodotto non idrata affatto i ricci, ma funge come una sorta di gel. I ricci, quindi, risultano leggermente più definiti ma allo stessl tempo secchi e poco elastici. Non lo comprerò di nuovo

I've been using this product for years, it's the best for my hair as it's not greasy and rich enough for my very dry hair. My hair looks slick but I will note that I only use this when putting my hair up as I only leave my hair out when I straighten my curly hair.
