Marware MicroShell Folio for iPad mini - Purple (AIMF1Y)

I'm new to Marware and now, I wish I had known earlier. I bought this one with the Axis Leather Folio and I like them both and am keeping both. This one is very light and will be good for travel. The other is heavier and better for around the office. The only downside to this is I find the slot to make it stand is a little tight (thus, 4 stars). But that won't matter if I need to throw it in a bag to go through an airport or around shopping. Different cases have different uses. And it was on sale....5/26 update. After using it for a few days, it feels odd in the hand and the cover feels more flimsy than it did at first. The Axis case is heavier and thicker (so you lose the mini profile) but I think I will be using it more often than this one. It just feels better in the hand.

I had one of these cases on my Kindle Fire, and loved it then as well as now on my new iPad mini. They are so easy to use. Good looking, a snap to install, and good protection against scratching the device. The automatic on/off function is wonderful. The only con I can reference is that the 1/8" trim along the front edge of the lid did not fit flush with the screen on my IPad mini. When the lid was closed the trim rested on the lip of the IPad. I used a razor knife to trim this excess off and the lid now fits perfectly against the screen, eliminating dust entry and accidental opening. When installed, the case adds almost nothing to the thickness of the device, making holding my iPad for reading ebooks a pleasure.

I had a case like this for my Kindle Fire, which I loved from the moment I put it on. When I got my new ipad mini, there wasn't a doubt in my mind which case I wanted - I ordered this case without hesitation. Received it and put it on today - first impression is that the quality isn't anywhere near the quality of the same case for the Kindle Fire. The inside shell of this case is almost a soft cardboard-type, whereas the interior of the same case for the Fire was softer - more felt-like. Quality overall is disappointing in comparison. Not sure at this point if I'll be keeping it - additionally, the way it fits, it causes my screen cover to buckle on the top right-hand corner.Edit: After using for just a few hours, I knew I could not be happy with this case - when the back folded over, it was so flimsy-feeling. This marware case is going back. I have ordered an Invellop case that is so much better, with a magnetic cover that holds the cover back when it is opened, and no buckling of the screen protector. Much better!

It's a great minimalistic and basic case for the iPad Mini while having access to all ports and buttons. The strap to hold the smart cover of the case together is a bonus.What I didn't like about this case was its capability to stand.. the way it stands is a hit or miss because you have to fold the smart cover of the case back and it goes into a crease. When you stand the ipad into 1 of the 2 positions and try typing or do any other basic functions with it, it falls from time to time and it frustrates me. I thought reading the good reviews would make me look past that but after experiencing it, I kind of regret getting this case.HOWEVER, if you don't mind the iPad slipping out of its stance frequently then go right ahead and purchase it.I recommend the "Marware Vibe iPad Mini case". It's cheaper and its capability to stand is much better than this one for sure.

Great lightweight iPad Case. I use my iPad for about 4 hours a day and this is an improvement over the last one I had for the Kindle Fire. There is now a slot to fold the cover into and it makes typing much more doable. If you're looking to use this for work and do a lot of typing or if you plan on letting young kids play with it unsupervised where it can be dropped there are better options but if you're looking for a sleek, lightweight iPad protector you're not going to find anything better especially for the price. Great Value.

Quality, warmth, and effective, is the way I would describe this case. I have been a fan of Marware cases for some time. I like the way that this case does not add "bulk" to my iPad Mini. It's clean look and appealing sight lines make it a case to be envied. I would however, suggest that Marware redesign the groove in back. When using the case in landscape mode as a stand, the part of the case that slips into the groove tends to permanently "wrinkle" which takes away from the quality look. They should have designed the back similar to their iPad 3rd Gen case.

The case fit perfectly on my new iPad Mini w/ Retina display. I was looking for something that would provide some protection and not add too much bulk to this slim device. My nephews had these cases for their Kindles and seemed to like them. So far I have been very pleased. It doesn't add a lot of bulk so the device is still easy to hold in one to read. It protects the screen when closed and the elastic strap makes it pretty secure.My only knock is that the cover is supposed to notch into the back of the case to make a stand. There is a groove where the edge sits but it doesn't stay very well and collapses often. But overall, that not a big deal at all.All in all, I am very pleased with this case and would buy it again.

I'm one of those people who reads a ton of reviews before buying a product. I literally won't buy it if it doesn't have reviews. This one fit all of my criteria - it had an easel stand, the sleep/wake function and back protection. I also didn't want a random brand. But when this came, I was disappointed. The front cover/easel function is so flimsy. It barely hold the iPad mini in place and straight. I don't trust this case. Would not recommend....

Was looking for a cover for my wife's ipad mini didn't think much of the official apple ones ( over priced ) after trolling through Amazon store found this one I bought one of these for my Kindle fire last year had no problem with it fits well and shows no sign of wear & tear this one obviously only fits the ipad mini it fits well the sleep function works perfectly also more importantly protects front & back and looks good as well not had long enough to find any faults but it looks as well built as the kIndle one so should last a long time

Good case, that complies what should do.Very good case for the price.Gives a solid protection for the ipad mini.It's a bit difficult to fix the support into the backward of the case.

Die Hülle passt sich perfekt dem iPad an und ist Super geschützt. Wenn man den Deckel zu klappt geht das iPad automatisch in den Schlafmodus und ist magnetisch. Das iPad ist mit der Hülle sehr dünn und nicht merklich schwerer.Habe die selbe Hülle schon für mein iPad2 seit über einem Jahr und die Verarbeitungsqualität ist genauso sehr gut.Die Hüllen von Marware von dieser Bauart kann ich vom Preisleistungsverhältnis nur jedem empfehlen.

Neben dem sicheren Transport sollte die Schutzhülle auch dazu dienen, das iPad mini auf einem Tisch in leicht angewinkelter Position zu bedienen. In dieser Position ist der Stand aber labil und - vor allem - rutscht der in dieser Position rückseitig eingesteckte Deckel immer heraus, wenn man das Gerät anhebt. Das hat mir überhaupt nicht gefallen, so daß ich die Tasche zurückgescickt habe.

Haben diese Hülle in Lila und in Schwarz. Die Minis sitzen dadrin perfekt.Das Zuggummi ist ideal wenn man Unterwegs ist.Sehr gut ist die Haltfunktion mit der eingearbeiteten Nut! Kann die Hülle nur empfehlen

Passt perfekt in das IPad mini, Sleepmodus funktioniert auch tadellos.Der Bildschirm wird auch gut geschütz durch die Fleeceinnenseite und die ganze Hülle ist auch noch sehr dünn.
