Great idea, though the pictures accompanying this product are confusing; they are of two different products. One product has a red field in front of the playing area, the other doesn't. (The second one, with no red field, is the product I received. Instead of the fore field it includes a package insert telling you to place the gaming field 4 feet back from the sensor.)FYI The mat is quite stiff, and the way it is folded in the box, it tents when you unfold it--it needs time to "relax" before it will lay flat on the floor. (I'm assuming it will lay flat on the floor after awhile!) Players could get injured if they try to use it before it has relaxed, especially small children. I have books piled around the mat to get it to lie down, so my kids can use it safely.We have an XBox w Kinect. Our toddler loves the dance games, but gets very frustrated when she moves out of the Sensor zone during game play, and can't figure out what is wrong. We bought a kinect about a year ago, and have had trouble with it calibrating. I did some research and found a number of possible reasons, I found this on Amazon for a modest price of $15 and figured I couldnt go wrong. My kinect now works almost flawlessly, just having a couple of issues with the hand portion. Other than that, this thing makes kinect adventures work very well, and tracks leg movement to the T.

I bought this item ideally for the cushion, I have hardwood floors so it can make for some rough and noisy landings. It's a very large mat and does help with cushion, however, it can be noisy. My play space is a little smaller than the mat itself so that maybe somewhat of a reason that it didn't line up completely with the Kinect, but worth buying and giving a shot...I'm optimistic

I was looking for an area rug to cover the stained (thanks to kids spilling drinks!) light yellow wall to wall carpet in the media room. It fits perfectly between the TV / X-Box and recliners and ties the room together. It comes a bit bunched up from being folded, so you'll need to leave it open with something heavy on the folds to flatten it out. It's a nice bright color and cheers the room up. I'm happy with it.

Purchased this product because we play with the kinect on hardwood laid over a concrete slab and I was hoping it would soften sudden movements. It does an adequate job of staying in place but it is bulky to store and I don't think I would purchase this product again.

good in theory, but the pad ends up in the closet. maybe if you have a game room it can stay out in, but not in a living room. that being said, the pad does work.if not, your using it wrong. oh and the pad moves on a tile floor.

Serves it's purpose by keeping the kids fighting for positioning when playing games like Kinect party, does slid a bit on the carpet so I would recommend using carpet tape, also a bit slippery when wearing socks but has additional padding on it to soften any spills that they make. also picked it up 10$ cheaper then Walmart!

So yes this product helps everyone stay in the proper position when playing Kinect games but the mat itself is solid and it can get pretty slippery after a little while of playing.

Bought this mat so that my wife and I can find our exact spot when playing the Kinect. Only thing I don't like is that the anti slip isn't 100% working. When run on the spot, it tends to rotate on itself. We then have to readjust accordingly. Other than that, it does what it supposed to do.

I liked it but it is a bit bulky and doesn't pick up the motion as well as when you use nothing....and, yes I set it up right lol. The product arrived on time. I would buy from this vendor again.
