Q: Is this hard to put together for a 5 year old?

Probably depends on the child's dexterity with little things... But my 5 year old had no issues. Sometimes they needed help understanding all the directions though.

Q: Does the figure attach to the dragon so it won't fall off?

There is a 1X2 panel piece with center divider as part of the dragon's "saddle." ( http://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=93095 ) The minifig's feet fit on both sides of the center divider to keep her in place.

Q: My 8 yr old son is fascinated by magic themes/magical creatures. He wanted this set for the dragon. Is this line made only for girls?

My 9 year old son loves it, he's already built 3 dragons in the Elves set. And just because it has "girl" colors doesn't mean boys can't enjoy it.

Q: Is This Dishwasher Safe?

Hi there! We do not recommend putting LEGO® bricks in any washing machine or dishwasher. The water can get too hot, which may make the pieces change their shape. Then they wouldn't work anymore! If you want to clean your bricks, it's best to do so by hand. Keep your water below 104°F / 40°C, and use only a soft cloth or sponge on them. You can add a little bit of mild soap to the water, but steer clear from harsher cleaning products. And make sure you rinse all the soap off!
