MILES LUBRICANTS MILESYN SXR 5W30, Full Synthetic DEXOS1 GEN2, API GF-5/SN Plus,5 Gallon Pail (MSF100303)

This is a Synthetic 5W30 Dexos 1 compliant oil in a 5 gallon bucket for a competitive price. It meets the specifications that my GM trucks need. I see no need to pay a similar price for 2.5 gallons (two 5 quart jugs) of big name brand oil. I use this with Schaffer's Moly EP and Lube Control 20 (LC20) and Wix XP filters for extended oil change intervals in my high mileage truck without issue. I put it in my new truck. I also put this in my wife's 100k + Subaru. And some of my small engines get this for winter usage. I can't justify a 55 gallon drum, but I go through a couple of 5 gallon buckets of oil every year. Glad I found this on Amazon.

First off, my opinion of MILESYN SXR 5W30, Full Synthetic is a good one. I've been using Miles Lubricants products for the last few years and have been extremely satisfied with the protection it provides. I don't have kids by choice, so I take care of my vehicles (and my pets) like they're my children. However.............What happened to the price?!?! Just like I'm doing now, I came here to order another 5-gallon pail to last the next 12 months. Back on June 1, 2018, the price I paid (with tax & free shipping) was $70.48, but you'll never guess who the seller was.???Okay, so it really shouldn't surprise anyone that Miles Lubricants used to be sold by "Amazon.com Services, Inc"; additionally, anyone buying motor oil online probably knows that Amazon now sells their own, house brand of lubricants. I'm guessing once Amazon sells their remaining inventory of Miles Lubes the only source will be the "other sellers". For me, that's not going to happen especially when the lowest offer is listed at $95.45...roughly $30 more! Ouch.Guess it's time to give AmazonBasics motor oil a try. HEY AMAZON!!! DO YOU SELL OIL IN FIVE GALLON BUCKETS?

It's really too early to write a thorough review because I've only done one oil change today but I did want to confirm someone else's observations about bits of plastic in the product. I filtered it as I dispensed based on the report and I did find small white debris in the product. If bought the POS pump with the clear hose and could actually see a few flecks with every few pumps. I'm not condeming the product just wanted you to be aware and make the choice to filter or not. I'll rate the product again after running through a couple of my engines.

Great price. Conveniently delivered to my door...meets specs for my vehicles. Manfacture also provides data sheets with all the specs online. I used to buy my oil from big box stores but not anymore! This is my second bulk order.Note: If this is your first time buying in bulk...I recommend also buying a handpump or a easy pour container.This 5 gallon pail is enough for 3 oil changes with 2 quarts left over for a lawn mower and generator.

I have used 4 pails of the SXR 5w30 now and have been happy with the results. Verified by oil analysis in the 3 vehicles I use 5w30 in. I am dissapointed that Amazon no longer sells the SXR. Not sure why, but if it's just because they don't want it to compete with their house branded 5w30 it would be disappointing. Miles Lubricants blends a quality product and I prefer buying in the 5 gallon pails. If Amazon doesn't start carrying the SXR again I will have to find another source.

Great oil, licensed GM Dexos1 Gen2 so it meets all specs. Amazon stopped selling it now, to push their own brand, you can get a better deal at Wmart com

Save money on oil changes with this product! Oil is as good as Valvoline synthetic , etc, will buy again!

This product works as expected and does meet the manufactures specifications.
