TRANSMISSION CLUTCH SPRING COMPRESSOR AUTOMATIC

Eh, gets the job done
Works like advertised. I gave it a three star merely because I had to bend/tweek the arms outward for the compressor to stay wedged in snap ring groove to compress spring. That was on an e4od. Otherwise it worked well.

Good tool for the job but with some modifications.
I bought this tool to repair the oh so wonderful honda transmission. It worked fine doing what it supposed to do. The reason I didn't give it five stars is because off the cross bar. The cross bar when applied pressure tries to thread itself into the main bolt and binds. Normally I wouldn't mind but I had to stop what I was doing, release myself from all the transmission fluid and gunk, get into my car and drive to get some bolts and washers to fix the problem. Not happy at all. But it was a cheap fix (2) 1/2-13 nuts and (4) 1/2 washers did the trick. After that it worked like a charm. so if you're going to invest in this tool do yourself a favor and buy the nuts and washers before you got your transmission in a thousand pieces. That's one less thing to worry about.

Fantastic tool for TH-250 and TH-350 transmissions.
One of my transmission books list three different tools for working on TH-250/TH-350 transmissions. This does the task of all those tools and it does it effortlessly. For such a small tool, it is a bit pricey, but I guess it is better than purchasing several tools.A definite must have if you are going to work on transmissions.

Simplifies the job
Nicely built, procured to rebuild my first 4L60E transmission. Used this tool for all spring compressions required. I will use for other jobs.

Worked ok after modifications
Bought this for 4R70W.The pressing legs with semi-circle feet were not long enough for the direct drum on 4R70W. I used coupler nuts (2) and short lengths of threaded rod to make adapters to lengthen them. I ground flats in the threaded rod pieces to fit through the cross bar. Also had issue of this tool's threaded rod trying to thread into the cross bar. This was easily solved by using 2 nuts, tightened against each other on the end of the tool's threaded rod, to push against the cross bar while turning.

Great Bargain
Item is even a better quality than it appears in the picture. Works extremely well. With this tool you can work by yourself removing and replacing transmission clutch springs. Fantastic Tool to own.

Did the job!
I couldn't have done it without this tool. Built a 4r75w and worked great, not even worth trying without it for the price!
