Those with a need for this battery may have passed through a period like I did, when the original OEM batteries were no longer being made and all the available replacements were junk. For a while I bought cheap broken phones when I could ascertain the deal included an original battery that was okay.I've bought 4 of these and they all work. I think I've had a couple of them for at least a year and a half, the others many months. I've not bothered to test their power - given the alternatives I'd be happy if they weren't especially long lasting - but I think they last at least as long as the originals.

BATTERY LIFE AVERAGE, S5 REPLACEMENT BATTERY

I refuse to buy a new phone when this one works just fine. Therefore replacing the battery is a must. After all batteries are meant to wear out. This fits and works very well.

I ordered this battery for my old Galaxy S5 two days before leaving the country, and heading into the Andes Mountains in S. America. I really needed my Galaxy S5 because it has an internal GPS antenna for offline maps. I charged this new battery with the OEM Samsung charger/cable before leaving home...The battery lasted 20 minutes in Colombia, the phone died, and refused to turn on again. I connected the Samsung OEM charger/cable again to my phone again with this new battery, and it still wouldn't turn on even plugged in. My phone is literally dead with this battery. My phone turns on with the original old batteries, so this battery is completely faulty.I cannot begin to imagine the problems I would have had if I wasn't with a friend who had GPS on his phone.

This was a replacement for an old battery of a S5 device used for small photoshop projects. The battery does not hold its charge any longer than the old battery does. It has to be charged right before its use or to use on ac power cord. It is understandable that batteries shelf life diminishes with age. They may come in handy in a pinch if still readily available.

I have tried several after market batteries in which i have been less than impressed with. With this battery my phone lasts 2-3 days with normal use. Great product.

I have had it only a few weeks, but so far my old S5 stays up for two days!
