Magnus Carlsen's Most Instructive Games (Chess World Champions) Paperback – March 31, 2021

This excellent book offers 42 annotated Carlsen games. The games are separated into thematic chapters: e.g. "counter play" ; "positional and strategic chess". Most of the games are from the 2016 to 2019 time frame, making it an excellent companion to the Soltis book (60 Memorable Carlsen Games), the new Lakadawala book on Carlsen losses, plus of course the earlier Carlsen books. After a gap of many years, it's great to see a handful of excellent books recently published focusing on the greatest player of the 21st century.

The author follows a very intelligent methodology analyzing the games and the ideas behind the moves.
