100 Set - 12mm 1/2" Pyramid Rapid Rivet Stud Nickel for Leather Craft

These studs are a good value for the money but are only costume quality. In other words, they are great for making a thrift store jacket look punk, not so great for your custom leatherworks projects.Importantly, they do not come with a setting tool, which you have to buy separately. I tried to set a few using improvised methods (foam to hold the stud and the setter and hammer from a rivet setting tool set that I have) with, not surprisingly, mixed results in how well the stud was set. This, of course, is user error rather than any sort of defect in the product, but be sure to pick up a setting tool specific to pyramid studs if you don't have one already.

Exactly as expected, the studs appear to be pretty uniform and while I haven't examined each one closely, sifting through the bag I didn't see any noticeable damage on any of the studs. This seems to be the same product that I would buy in my local Fashion District for about 40 cents per stud so this is a good deal.
