UNCLE BEN'S Brand Instant Rice, 25 Pound

Could not find this product in any stores in South Suburban area of Chicago. Found this online at Amazon, but had to order a 25lb bag. I love this rice, always cooks perfectly following the microwave instructions: never sticky, not watery, just great tasty grains, but 25 lbs!! So I now have many bags in my freezer; but based on the first few batches of rice prepared from this purchase, I have at least a year of good rice eating ahead of me!!

Uncle Bens instant white rice is the best I have ever used. I use it mainly for my broccoli casserole. When I could not find it anymore and found out it was discontinued, I searched everywhere to find it. I found it the cheapest and with the longest shelf life at Amazon. I had to buy 25 lbs of it but it's worth it to me. It came quickly and packed well.

So big and enoughI have been using this for nearly a year and i still have half of the packageThis is so big and enough for a family of 4 for nearly two years

This was exactly what one could expect.

I bought this because I heard it was parboiled rice. However, even though it's parboiled rice, it's different than the parboiled rice that I am used too.

This Uncle Ben’s instant rice was always my favorite and I was so excited to find it on line with many great ratings. Unfortunately, the bag of rice I received was not good. It had a chemical-like smell when I opened it and it was very gummy to chew. I wonder if it was old or stored in a bad place. Sorry to report this bad news.
