Can't fault these at this price. With a shorter handle, they're very easy to use and you can get a good "scrub". Just don't do it while the flames/gas is still on or you could burn yourself (without gloves). No issues when the grill is still warm and all the gunk will come away. After a while, with much scrubbing, the wire will eventually start coming out but it's not immediate and will depend on the aggressiveness and heat put on it.
