Worked fine for 15 months, used twice a week during that time.
Worked fine for 15 months, using twice a week every week, always in a garage and it stopped locking due to a build up brake dust in the hole/recess for the locking bolt. Have managed to clean it out and it's working again (not had this with any other disc lock before hence 4 stars).

Excellent returns service for seller
The alarm didn’t work when it arrived, a manufacturing problem.However the 3rd party seller was very helpful in arranging for the return of the item.

Nifty motorcycle disc lock
If you have a motorcycle with floating brake discs (so after 1970 mostly!) This is the most basic way to securely lock and alarm your bike. It's relatively inexpensive and after years of buying cheap analogues for £10, buying something that motorcycle insurers recognise and approve of is worth it. Also it is BRIGHT YELLOW, handy for spotting it before you drive away or at least indicates to potential thieves that this bike has some basic protection!Uses a weird lithium ion battery, not 6 button cells that i've been used to. The battery drained during the winter months and it's meant that the alarm noise has been oddly quieter (but still quite piercing) ever since. (nearly a year)

Water resistance limitations
After purchasing this lock I can say for functionality it is great however I feel that it can be a pain at times.If you live in a place that is prone to rain no matter how hard you try, water will stll get in and after it gets in if you depress the button to lock it the alarm starts to chip as if it wants to go off.I use this on my bike when out and about and it certainly puts my mind at ease however there has been times where I cant use the alarm due to it constantly chirping.Good mechanical lock, not so great for the alarm feature.

Instructions are not very clear
It's definitely a good quality product the only thing that needs improvement are the instructions

Loud!
Very loud, nice bright colour, seems very sturdy.

Simple to put on and is a good deterrent
Haven’t had it go off yet so can’t speak on how loud it is. But I suppose this means it is a good deterrent. And it’s so much more simple to carry and use on quick trips where you haven’t got time to faff around with a chain. Definitely buy one of these or the more expensive ones insurance companies recognise to reduce your premium.
