DISCO Colour Transparent Turquoise

Completely happy with my purchase but it was a very limited edition, which sold out almost right away. I was extremely dissapointed when I got my LP sent from Amazon UK. It had only been shipped in a very thin cardboard envelope unsuit to protect a vinyl record in a long journey to the US. The LP is OK however the outer and inner sleeve cases are bent on several cornes. This is serious damage for a limited edition copy that is expensive. Amazon has to improve their job in shipping LPs and CDs (they only ship CDs in a simple buble envelope, when the CDs case is carton, many times it arrives very damaged as well.) Please improve your packaging. Independent record-stores use better quality packaging, thicker cardboard, larger than the size of the object so even if hit on the corners, the shock won't reach the LP/CD. The “signed” booklet was separate from a normal cd version of the album. Not so sure this is legit and not a special signed edition of the album.

She is presenting an album full of joy, light and good vibes, instantly taking listeners to a happy place.The tracks that led to "Disco" had me worried that by jumping on the '80s revival that became a trend this year, Kylie would end up sounding a little forced. But, being the clever girl that she is, by geniusly echoing elements from Chic, Bee Gees, ABBA, and even Daft Punk, she sounds so effortlessly ahead of her game that she puts to shame most of anyone else.The pureness of her disco essence is so wonderful that I am willing to overlook the chipmunk-like vocals on certain tracks. "Real groove", "Supernova", "Dancefloor darling", and first single "Say something" are just poptastic. Available in numerous formats and editions, the deluxe 16-track hardback CD is the one to go for, or the turquoise coloured amazon exclusive LP which looks the prettiest.From teenage sensation during the SAW years, bonafide pop star in "Let's get to it", dance-indie chic in the eponymous "Kylie Minogue"s in the mid-Nineties, disco princess in "Light years", sophisticated chanteuse in "Fever", electro queen in "Body language", dancefloor diva in "X", synth goddess in "Aphrodite", sexy kitten in "Kiss me once", and country gal in "Golden", Kylie has been going pop the whole way in the most fun way.From the gold hotpants in 2000's "Light years" all the way to the gold jumpsuits in 2020's "Disco", it is quite a long distance, but she is a timeless queen. This album is amazing and the songs are a great mix of pop/disco. The sound she has captured with this album is fantasic. I don't think there is a bad song that lets the album down, so are good which grow on you.There are a couple of fillers but not bad in any way, well worth the wait for this album. Now on to the Viny itself, the Colour is more transparent than the Amazon picture gives credit and I love it. You also get a nice sheet with all the lyrics on, for me the only thing that lets this down is you don't get a download code for other devices which most other artists do when you are spending anywhere from 25-50% more than buying a CD. Dont get me wrong I knew I was buying this on vinyl and wanted this format but it would have been a nice bonus.

Amazing album, beautiful vinyls and CDs. It is a cohesive project and a breathe of fresh air for this year. No skipping, each tracks is special and I’ve got it all on repeat. If you buy one album this year, make it Kylie Disco. Perfect gift for all the family too

Absolute banger of an album from Kylie - from start to finish we're back on the dance floor (remember them?), with every single track. So many highlights but "Say Something" stands as one of the best tracks of her 30+ year career.

The music really is like a throwback to 1970's disco, just with much higher production standards. Great light-hearted relief from the day-to-day reality right now.Unfortunately, Amazon have decided that their more expensive Amazon-only 'special edition' turquoise vinyl one does not get an AutoRip download yet the 'standard' version does!!!?This is surely an oversight or mistake ... otherwise it's profiteering of the highest order and surely Amazon wouldn't do that! Would they!?
