These are a game changer for filmmaking and self tapes!

The bulb is made of high quality materials. It has a heavy feel to it. The bulb has an internal battery that will run for an hour or so after being plugged in to a lamp. Must use with the app. Full color control and ability to dim, looked very nice on camera. I would highly recommend.The only odd thing! The light comes from the top of the bulb, it is a half dome. So depending on the lamp and lamp shade, the light look somewhat unrealistic. The light shoots up and sometimes doesn’t spread evenly in a lamp shade, especially at the bottom.

By itself it’s a little difficult to use with just the buttons. When you pair it with the Sidus app it becomes one of the best lights on the market for the price.

A must have light for indie filmmaking. Great control through the app

The media could not be loaded.  Came in faster than expected. So far this is the lowest price on Amazon and I’m very happy with my purchase that I bought 2 of them. Does not come with lamp adapter. That was a separate buy.

The media could not be loaded.  Owned many Aputure products already to slowly build my run and gun/solo shooter lighting kit and Aputure was always reliable to get the jobs done quickly. Especially Aputure’s Sidus link mobile app. I tried many other brand’s mobile app and this were always hit or miss or need to trouble in middle or the shoot. I love Aputure app because I never have any issues (they’re probably even more reliable than my home smart bulbs/apps.This B7C build however has let me down:- ordered “new” but the item delivered was clearly used (see video and pics. Even the box seal was already opened. Previous owner even have their own logo sticker lol that I’m guessing the returns department might had overlooked.- Bud I went ahead and tested the light anyways. This is my first Aputure light that gave me issues to pair. My previous Aputure lights app control/pairing is always reliable. However this bulb seems to have issues pairing out of the box even after BR resets.-I think one issue is perhaps the app have a hard time understand switching back and forth between AC power and battery power. This usually isn’t a deal breaker with alternate brands lights:mobile back. But this is deal breaker for me as I was expecting flawless control with my other Aputure lights.Will do few more tests just for the sake of it tomorrow but most likely I’ll request a refund. So I want to stress in this review sure I can knock out kinks during shooting. However, I’m expecting higher standards from Aputure.- Additionally I bought other items from this dealer before and never any product/return issues so I’m guessing my light could had just be a dud. Will probably update this after I test long one more day but I don’t see myself enjoying a solo shoot if this light unreliable.

They are not bright enough at all. No power.They get rather hot to the touch, and the shadow on the lamp shade from the metal housing is ugly.
