This is made of plastic. The idea is great but the execution is poor. We could never get the seal tight so that the water wasn't leaking out the threads, even after using plumber's tape. Because of this I'm not sure we ever got the full effect of the purpose. We live in an area with very hard water and noticed some difference but could never actually enjoy the shower with the leaking around the thread joint. Our skin did feel better when we used it and it had some of the softening effects we were looking for. Spray too hard and felt like really sharp stabs on my skin. Hard to adjust water temperature. Seemed to always be either too hot or too cold. Got another one at Bed Bath and Beyond and it works much better and the filters are far more affordable and, in fact, available

Bought this for my daughter's bathroom. We love these in ours as it cuts water consumption without sacrificing water pressure. Being plastic, it won't last forever with our boiler that superheats water, but it has a low enough cost that we will simply and easily replace when necessary.

I'm pretty sure there is not suppose to be an extra stream of water shooting out of the top, hitting my ceiling.

Absolutely love this shower head there are 2 different settings one that is great to use if you have a headache otherwise its a very good high pressure shower head would definitely recommend to others

Just not what I thought it was.

I bought this filtration shower head for my kids’ shower since they have a hand-held shower sprayer in their bathroom, and I already had a filter shower head in mine. The filter is okay - it definitely makes the water smell and taste better than our tap water, but not as good as my Brita or my filter on my shower. But it’s better than what they had, and so I feel good knowing they are getting less chlorine and chemicals soaking into their skin while they shower.Thankfully they are not too picky about the water pressure so far, because this shower head does not put out the water in a strong spray. It does have three options - one is an open circle of streams, one is a concentrated circle of streams (and when it's set on that it dribbles down the back a little), and then you can also set it on both at the same time. My daughter (age 18) says it just feels like rain compared to their previous shower head when I asked her how she liked it. I have only felt it with my hand and I can say it’s not strong at all. Personally I don’t think I would keep it in my own shower, and it won’t surprise me if one of the kids replaces it with their old one after a while. But they haven’t complained any yet (besides when I questioned my daughter), and I installed it about 10 days ago.And there’s another good thing about it - it’s really easy to install or replace. You just unscrew the old shower head and screw this one on. The angle is higher than their old one (and the mount in their shower is higher than a lot of showers I think), so if you don’t like your shower head up high that might be a problem, but if you are tall and looking for a higher shower, this might be just perfect. My kids are 5’8” and 5’10” so it’s not too bad for them. I don’t know about replacing the mineral balls since they only need to be replaced once a year.This filtration shower head was provided to me with a discount to test and review based on my personal experience and opinion.

We received this shower head and installed it immediately. The construction is very similar to any other head that you would normally find in your hardware store. The outer body is plastic. I have been able to take 30 minuite showers without running out of hot water with this shower head. I have noticed cold spots in the water because the mist cools so quickly.The filter feature works well. We have been able to remove most of the heavy chlorine smell from the water. I've also seen a reduction in the hardness of the water as well.The spray patterns are finer but they massage really well. I enjoy a shower with this shower head. My hair and skin feel cleaner as a result of using it. My only issue is that my feet get cold by the time the water reaches them its completely cooled of due to the mist size. Other than that we have really enjoyed using it and it performs very well. It's also been dropped a few times and has not been damaged at all.If your tired of smelling like bleach and having hair that feels like hay I encourage you to give this shower head a try. It has worked better than I expected with a no fuss installation. The construction is solid and it works well.
