Rich Sound + Small Form Factor + Great Price = Creative T10
I recently updated my home office and got rid of an old 2.1 speaker system. Due to space limitations I needed to get rid of the subwoofer. I researched 2.0 speaker systems extensively (there are many). However, space was my ultimate concern. I needed something smallish and simple with a front volume knob and acceptable sound quality. Many of the higher-end 2.0 systems (Edifier, Singing Wood) were simply too big for my space. Some of the smaller systems looked like cheap junk, were powered by USB which I did not want, had too many bells and whistles, or had questionable reliability scores. So I rolled the dice and bought these Creative T10s. And let me tell you, what a great decision! These are smallish speakers but the build quality is there. They have real weight to them and the fit and finish is flawless. The styling is understated and contemporary. I would describe the sound quality as rich and warm. The soundstage is perfect for a computer desk area (mine flank a 27 inch monitor). The tweeters give excellent detail - I hear nuances now that I did not hear before. They are a true 2-way design, not a single driver speaker with a fake tweeter glued on the enclosure. The mid/bass drivers do a good job but, obviously, they are not going to reproduce bass notes below about 100 Hz with any authority. For listening to jazz, light pop, classical, average games, YouTube and Zoom conferences, you cannot go wrong with these. I would prefer seperate bass and treble controls, but the "tone" knob gives you some ability to adjust the output to your preferences. And the ability to adjust the volume with the front panel knob is simplicity itself. For what these speakers cost, around $40-50, they are a great buy. Simple design and very, very good sound quality. Can you get better sounding speakers? Absolutely. But you will spend more. If you need very good 2.0 speakers in a small space, these should be at the top of your list.

Not the size of the speaker
I currenlty own a Klipsch 5.1 promedia system as well as a Logitech z680,both are great.I purchased these speakers from Amazon and was extremely pleased with the results. I did not want to mess with, nor did I have the space for a sub. These speakers deliver great treble and wonderful bass considering that this system does not contain a sub. If the speakers are placed at shoulder level the bass is enhanced (the lower you place them the better the sound of the bass)This is due to the bassXports located on the top of these speakers. I have tried the Creative t20, which is one class better than the t10. The only real difference that is noticeable is the quality of the treble which is almost ear piercing when on high. For the money the T10 are a better purchase for a 2.0 system. Don't waste your time with the Creative T20 unless you need an overpowered 2.0 system due to space limitations, granted they do look sharp in the end your ears wont be satisfied and your pockets will be lighter. Some interesting features on the Creative t10 which set it apart from the rest:1.Audio in(for MP3 players, phones,Ipods & +) is located on the side vs the back for easy access.2.Head phone jack is also located on the side vs the back.3.Heavy construction that has a solid build that will not tip or move every time you turn on or change the volume.4.Very appealing exterior that matches well with almost all monitors or just for stand alone5.Speakers are not USB allowing you to play from any device with out computer connections.6.Great treble quality which is worth the $15 dollar difference. You will not be disappointed.

Good Value
These are reasonably priced speakers with very nice sound quality for its price range. They're easy to set up and easy to control the volume on. The left knob controls the actual volume while the knob on the right adjusts the sound's bass/treble balance. Depending on your personal preference you can choose to increase the sound's bass or treble; but only when the sound's outputting from the speakers, not while you have headphones plugged in.These speakers aren't just for computers, either. It can also be plugged in to any device with a 3.5mm headphone jack, including smart devices, TVs, and handheld gaming consoles. This isn't necessarily the best option, but it's good in a pinch. These speakers' biggest flaw is how they enter a sort of sleep mode after a set amount of time without any sound. On paper it seems like a nice way to save some energy, but in practice it means you won't be hearing any sound for a second while it starts back up. It's a minor issue, but it's noticeable.Aside from that I really can't complain. The speakers are affordable, they sound good, and they output audio from wherever it needs to be output from as long as the jack fits.

Not an Audiophile, Just an Enthusiast. Great right out of the box.
I had an older run of these speakers purchased back in 2010. I've held onto them, even though the front dials lost most of their functionality about 4 years in after a rough move. I preferred to just finely adjust the dials until I could find a connection that activated both speakers because I enjoyed the sound quality so much. I am so happy to replace them in 2020 with the same style, after I started to get more standalone feedback when not playing music. Some people might find the design a little clunky, but I'm able to turn one on its side no problem to fit my desk space to create more room, and there's better depth of sound! The sounds are rich, pleasing, and lacking of any tinny qualities. I've always loved being able to adjust the treble tone on the front of the speaker without having to open an equalizer. I can listen to different styles of music or movies without over adjusting. As an apartment dweller, it's nice to crank the base occasionally, but not bring the house down. My only concern was that my shipment contained a European A/C adapter, but since I had an extra cord, I only had to use my old cable to plug them in. I will update if there is any shift in quality.
