Love these! I use them for all kinds of different spice blends that I mix myself.

I did a blood test for food insensitivities and Ancho came up as a good guy in contrast to cayenne and others. It list Ancho chilies as the only ingredient, and is 4 oz weight. Packaged in Laredo Tx and a product of Mexico. Purchased in ~July 2019 and Exp date was Aug 2020, so good dating. So far no clumping.For those planning self space etc the container is 4-1/2" tall and the footprint is 2" round diameter. So it is a little larger that the typical Spice Islands, etc glass spice unit. There are the typical pour and shake sections in the lid. For recyclers it is a #1 PETE plastic, so marked, and I think standard for most recycling efforts.I've been told Ancho is the ingredient for Mole sauce in Mexican cooking or enchilada sauce but haven't looked it up, but overall it is not hot spicy, just flavorful. If you want a little more hot spiciness I guess add some cayenne or other hot spice.Overall pleased, it added a missing part of my spice list from the blood test.If you liked the extra details hit the "helpful" button, adds motivation to take the time to provide the measurements and details for this great community. You may like it, and you may not; but I find the flavor of this particular habanero powder quite undesirable. It has a smokey taste that lingers in your mouth for several minutes before it finally goes away. I have tried other Mexican habanero powders that have all the heat, but adds no flavor. If you prefer the heat, rather than flavor, then you might not like this one. If you need habanero that has some character, then it might work for you. There's nothing really wrong with it, and I have no problem recommending it, but it isn't for everyone.

This is seriously hot. It delivers you immediate fire and then builds and builds. I love it but my face is sweating off and I’m afraid of what it’s going to do to me if I eat any more.The warmth of capsaicin from the belly is one of my favorite feelings that love to get. This delivers. No need to worry it won’t do the trick when I’m craving my heat buzz.Had to throw away the rest of my bowl of food after I ate a third of it because I was too liberal with applying the powder. I love it. This is legit.Jump in the fire.

I found the ground Guajillo pepper is more ease in using than soaking the dry pepper and pureeing it. I had used this in place of traditional pepper and the flavor turns out the same. This powder gives a nice smoky flavor, you can still taste the mild spiciness and that hint of sweetness behind it. The color is also bright enough to bring your dish to life. Love it in my beef birria.

Huge step up from supermarket spices, and has definitely improved my cooking. Great overall experience.
