Makes Great Waffles!!
Okay, this surpassed my expectations. I have made about 4 dozen waffles (I make 12 at a time) and I could not be more pleased. I read all the reviews before I bought it, so I had some idea of what I was getting and I am very happy with this purchase. The only downside I have found to this waffle maker so far is that the plates cannot be removed for cleaning, but I knew that before I bought it so I didn't take off any stars for that and it's not difficult to clean, it takes me less than two minutes to clean the outside and inside. I have used pancake mix and the Krusteaz Belgian waffle mix as was suggested by several reviews. The waffle mix is the better choice here (like you might expect). I only used the pancake mix as my first attempt and it was still good, but not as fluffy and harder to get out in one piece. These are filling, no one in my house eats more than 2 squares for breakfast and they are just as good frozen and reheated in the toaster, so there is no waste. I have been making the double batch, which uses 3 cups of mix and I get 12 waffles. I put about 1/3 cup in each square, and try to get a little out to the corners or the corner will be soggy (too much makes a little mess). I have the heat turned up almost to the max and it takes 5 minutes for each batch of 4. I have not tried cooking less than 4 squares since I figured this all out. It did take me a few attempts to get the timing and temperature right, but that was just the first day. I was using an IR temperature gun to try and figure out the temperature settings, but just looking at the waffles and using a timer worked out better. The picture below is from my most recent batch, though these are a touch darker than normal because I added cinnamon to the mix. The only other waffle makers I have used are the professional versions that flip over and with a little practice this makes waffles of the same quality. The non-stick is good so far, I have used butter or Pam spray on it for each batch. The instructions were brief, but clear. I was weary of buying a novelty waffle maker, but you don't have to be with this one.

You ever wanted to eat an Avenger? Here's your chance
We had one of these for years and it finally broke down. I assumed we'd never get another but little did I know my wife liked using it so much she asked for another. We purchased it and it's just as good as the first one.Works as you'd expect. The designs are really cool and kids (and adults) really enjoy it. Buy for any Avengers/Marvel fan

Maybe it's just me but i absolutely love this thing
Maybe it's just me but i absolutely love this thing. To start off with its just got that cool factor. My children (2yr old girl, 7yr old boy, 9yr old girl) absolutely love the fun factor of the avengers patterns. It cooks waffles, or pancake waffles within just a couple minutes. I set it to Dark, and let it go. Usually will let it cook 2 or 3 minutes longer for extra crispy as the kids prefer it that way.Cleanup is a breeze with it. Simply wet a towel and wipe down. The device is very well made and feels solid unlike some of the cheap chinese made ones on Amazon.

Could use some improvements, but worth buying just for the Avengers designs! Fix manuals.
Love this! I bought it for my husband for Father's Day and it was so much fun to use.Complaints: The manual could be better- ours was missing a page or two. My husband had to play with it to figure out how it worked and how long to put it on for. Also, it would be better if the plates inside were removable for cleaning. Like other reviewers said, cleaning it isn't super easy. The waffles came out great that. One side was slightly lighter but it wasn't a huge difference.

BEST GIFT YOU COULD GIVE!
LOVE LOVE LOVE this! This waffle iron makes FOUR regular sized waffles at one time meaning WAY LESS TIME IN THE KITCHEN! I will say the waffles are not as crunchy as I would like them even on dark, but I’m still new to this maker & will find a way for some of that added crunch. I have been using toothpicks to help clean as some of the crevices are pretty small. The pictures though come out clear as day and it is super affordable. If you or someone you know is in need of a waffle maker ORDER THIS!Side note: I freeze half the batch and pop them in the toaster later in the week - just as good as the first time around!

The most heroic waffle you'll eat!
This is such a cool waffle iron! The shapes are very easy to distinguish and the temperature is nice and it is easy to use. The design on the outside of the iron is really beautiful and sharp! However, the small nooks and crannies make it a bit harder to clean than most waffle irons! It has the "normal" waffle squares on one side and the hero shapes of Thor, Hulk, Cap, and - the best - Iron Man, on the other.

Great entertainment and look but don't count on food quality
First, my two Avenger crazed sons love this and really enjoy deciding over which Avenger "brand" to eat. Their happiness factor made this worth it to me. HOWEVER, that may not be the case for everyone since its more than a few bucks. The waffles themselves take forever to actually cook and the quality is very poor (pretty uneven cook). I cooked three batches of Belgium waffles in the same time it took to make one run of the Avengers ones. Clearly this isn't going to replace your regular waffle maker. Good for having fun with the kids but you probably want to have a back up batch from your "real" waffle iron to actually eat
