Updated: Cheap welding on first stand - Replacement stand works great (better welding)
Original review:*Arrived without instructions, however is straightforward to assemble. My problem is the weld holding the nut in place on the right rear of the stand. The bold was not welded properly or very well. The weld broke apart before I was able to use it. Very unhappy with this happening. Now I can’t even use it unless I get a replacement or have a shop weld it for me...*Update 10/28/2020: (forgot to update review)Seller took item back shortly after writing this review and offered a refund or replacement of item months ago. I took them up on the offer to replace the item. Took sometime to get back in stock, however when it arrived it was manufactured better than the first one I got. I would rate the stand at 5 stars for value, 4 stars for durability, with an overall 4 stars due to the hassle and problem with the product I first had.If you do order this stand or the front stand, make sure to check the weld points on the frame to make sure they are done well. If they look like they will break, return them for a replacement from the seller or contact the manufacture directly. Don't risk you bike falling and causing damage to the bike/other belongings or injury to yourself/someone else.I use this on a 2005 RC51 (RVT1000R) which is not a light sport bike by any means and the front and rear stand have been working great since getting the replacement. The only con I have is the angle/length of the rear stand does required you to put a lot more downward force than I would like, however this depends on the weight of your motorcycle. If the rear stand lift arm was a little longer it could allow you to get more of an advantageous position to lift the rear wheel.

Good not great
This is the first stand I’ve ever owned. I’ve been riding for the past six years and usually doing my service or bringing it into the dealer. I purchased the stand because I wanted to start doing my maintenance on my 2019 Yamaha R3. The stand came in with slight damage to the box due to shipping, which is understandable. Stand had a small surface scuff on the right side arm (see pic above). No instructions came with the item, but it’s pretty self-explanatory as long as if you have common sense you will be fine. Tested the stand for the first time today and I’ll be honest I was pretty nervous! The stand did not feel sturdy or stable with the process of getting the bike on. Once the bike was on and off ground stand still, felt flimsy in a way cheap? But you get what you pay for. I don’t know if the ground was uneven to give the unstableness even when fully tilted with the bike on it. I had to have help with stabilizing my bike with another person. My plans for this stand are to due simple maintenances, i.e., oil changes, cleaning and lubing of chain... For a stand that cost 90 bucks and free shipping, I guess it’s a good first stand to own. We will see how long this lasts!

Don’t buy. QC issues in welds!
UPDATE: I only got a partial refund. They claimed damage however it was out of my control. I had packaged it as I had received it to send back but there was scuffing on the paint when they got hands on it. Additionally I had put it together and tried to use it to find the issue with the arms so the loctite was used and they claimed that as damage. To any new buyers: check the arms BEFORE putting it all the way together otherwise you'll get dinged for it. Learn from my mistake. I purchased from Powersport Superstore. The stand itself is ok. Wish it had more horizontal rigidity but it’s fine. But I can’t use it. The spool arms aren’t welded equally and there for won’t line up with the spoils the same. Hoping the seller will work with me on this...

Terrible quality. Stay away.
Came with rusted hardware, one of the bolts stripped because of cheap metal (holes don't line up like a quality product) and when assembled it is nowhere near level. One of the forks is also bent. Stay away! Go to harbor freight because at least then you can return it easy.I cleaned the hardware and now I will have to find a pin to put in and tig weld it in to hopefully keep it together. I also don't see the weight limit so hopefully this will hold up my Kawasaki Vulcan S with the aftermarket Delkavic exhaust (also horrible quality) as my pit bull stand just hits the aftermarket exhaust. Hard to use but sturdy...
It’s well made and sturdy but requires quite a bit of strength to lift up my wife’s R3. Even the sportbiketrackgear YouTube video showed this stand required more effort to lift the rear compared to a pit bull BUT it’s half the price and works just fine. I’m happy with it as a servicing stand.

No Instructions
I figured it out, but would have been nice if there were instructions. Also the packaging was bad, the whole thing has scratches with deeper grooves at a level 7.

Cheap but got me by
I wouldn't use this on a bike bigger than 400cc.It doesn't feel like its very stable for much more than that.Only reason I bought it was I needed something quick an can't find a pitbull yet so it works for now.

Great stand at 1/2 price of Pit Bull.
I don't see paying more than twice the price for a Pit Bull. This Vortex is plenty strong to lift and hold my 350 pound bike plus be able to wheel it forward and backward on its wheels. No complaints.

Hard to lift the bike, you can’t tighten the adjustment bolt to the max because it will break
The adjustment bolt is broken, it’s so hard to lift the bike
