Fabulously Funny Series!
I had watched all the seasons of "The New Adventures of Old Christine" when the show was new and first run on TV. That was some years ago, and since I recall this show as being very funny, I ordered it now and have been rewatching it. It's hilarious! Not only "Christine" but all the characters that are on the show play their roles so well and have a terrific fit together to have made this show work so well. Actually, I've been reordering comedies from the past and rewatching them. I need to watch more comedy (which I greatly enjoy). There is too much violence and sadness on TV and movies these days. I think it does a mind good to laugh and watch some funny stuff! So, bottom line, I wholeheartedly recommend this series!

Fantastic Show
I’m a huge fan of this show. Why is only the first season available for streaming for free with Prime? All five seasons should be available. Needless to say, I rented seasons 2-5 because I’m such a big fan - make all 5 seasons available through Prime!!!!

WHY DID THEY CANCEL THIS SHOW??......
.......I am still trying to figure that one out.TNAOOC has got to be one of the funniest sitcoms ever made. Everything works and clicks. JLD, previously Elaine on Seinfeld, IMHO, is even funnier than Lucille Ball, she has the down to earth, self-deprecating humor in her circumstances and multiple expressions, timing and art of slapstick that just makes one howl with laughter. JLD as "old" Christine Campbell is front and center, backed up with a magnificent ensemble cast that support and enhance JLD but are also each terrific in their own right and hysterically funny as well. Right up there is Hamish Linklater, who plays her nerdy brother Matthew, Clark Gregg, as supposedly ex (but always around) husband Richard, Emily Rutherford as his girlfriend, the "new Christine", hysterically funny Wanda Sykes as old Christine's best friend Barb, cute Trevor Gagnon as old Christine and Richard's son who is funny as the sacrificial lamb to his mother's neuroses and paranoia, and Tricia O'Kelley and Alex Kapp Horner as the "meanie moms" Marly and Lindsey, always one-upping Christine. One of my favorite episodes on Season Three is "Rock and a Hard Place" as Christine has just been dumped by boyfriend Daniel and Matthew visits a shrink as part of his therapist-in-training process. Won't divulge the rest but check it out, it has to be one of the funniest shows around, oh yes, and don't forget Christine's "looney laugh" in the beginning of that episode, you will absolutely roll on the floor with laughter. Also hysterically funny on Season Four is "One and a Half Men", with guest star and ex Seinfeld buddy Jason Alexander as Christine's gynecologist, who thinks she may be entering menopause. Barb recommends testosterone cream to tame the crazy Christine, and, well, what happens next is just howlingly funny. Won't spoil it for you, but you have to see it.Season Four is TNAOOC at its best, but, tell you the truth, EVERY episode in all five seasons is terrific. Can't really pick a favorite. I really hope that JLD could someday, somehow, bring this great ensemble back together again. No problem with audio, video, packaging, etc in the set. I don't think it is that pricey, as some reviewers have stated. Anyway, whenever I need a good laugh, TNAOOC can't be beat.

Man I miss this show!!
I love, love, loved this show. Every episode is hilarious. Julia Louis Dreyfus is so hysterical. Wish it never ended but then she went to VEEP which is another hit. She carried Seinfeld with her wit and humor. Julia - you are amazing!! Watch all seasons/episodes from the beginning.

An off the "cuff", comedy show, w/ a great cast assembly
I enjoyed this show, when it was on TV- I really enjoy comedy that is off the "cuff", & not predictable. You get all that & more from this fine cast ofactors. You don't have Elaine, from Seinfeld, on this show, J.L-D. is her own special comedian, who carries herself well--Enjoy!!!

Let us just all grow open!!!😂
Divorced couple are unable to detach from one another and use only son as the glue keeping them attached.. Divorced Dad is engaged to younger woman ,as things move on she herself becomes involved in a way that is at least healthier for the stepson to be. Older Christine w would like to be in a romantic relationship also but feels her son comes first. Then there is the friends and business. Older Christine is a mess, addicted to wine, cough syrup all because she can't set priorities and what is really important.

Very funny series
If I could have rated this higher I would have. I bought the entire series and love each one. Julia is so funny as Christine Campbell. Too bad it was cancelled after season 5. The entire cast work so well together. This is a series I will watch over and over again.
