When ordering, I was slightly apprehensive a faux leather case in this price point may look cheap and plastic-like(but I figured for $15, what the heck?). When the item arrived, I was pleased to see its actually very sleek (in a subdued way) and almost professional looking. The material is not a fuzzy suede or shiny patent leather type; but rather kind of a smooth but "matte" texture. The sort of material you might have on a quality day planner type notebook. The contrasting white stitching is relatively straight, although not perfect (spots of imperfect sticking are not very noticeable unless you examine very closely). Overall, the look is very nice; and you would not think it was a $15 case looking at it, but rather something significantly more expensive.The case provides a decent degree of protection. Some have commented on the thickness or weight of the case. But protection and weight are for the most part related. To me, its in the range of what I expected, and thankful for some padding and protection for my device. The Galaxy Pro 8.4 fits very nicely into the plastic "back plate". Its not overly difficult to remove when you want to (as it is with some other cases); but it also holds the device securely. All cutouts or openings for the camera, buttons, speakers, etc. are in the correct locations and line up well, so nothing is obstructed.As others have mentioned, this case does include the magnet to automatically turn the device screen on and off when opening or closing the cover. Its odd this isn't mentioned in the device description, but its there. I'm not particularly concerned the magnet will damage the device long term. Samsung has the same feature in their own branded cases; and the same trick has been used on smartphone holsters for years since Blackberry days. But if you are nervous about such things, be aware this case does have the magnet.The stand feature works well. The "ridges" (actually the edges of the business card slots) that hold the device up could have been a bit deeper or more pronounced, to hold it more securely. But it still works well in a variety of situations (in bed, on a table, etc.). As others have mentioned, the business card slots are probably useless for most people. But I suppose as they needed to make some ridges to hold the device up, they also were able to incorporate this extra feature, that some people might take advantage of. I haven't gotten around to attaching a screen protector on my tablet; so I can't comment on the complaint that the card slots leave an imprint on the soft-type protectors. One minor nitpick, is that the "ridges" provide 2 different viewing angles when the case is used the stand up the device. But the two angles aren't significantly different from each other. The "ridges" should have been spaced a little farther apart to provide two more different angles.The complaints about the manufacturing smell seem exaggerated to me. Yes, there is some smell when you open the packaging. But its the usual smell you would expect from just about any faux leather product when its new. Any smell dissipated within a few days, and its completely undetectable now. The product comes in plastic wrapping, which doesn't allow the smell to dissipate until its removed from the packaging. Otherwise, I think most people would never even have known such an odor was present in the first place. Unless you are especially sensitive to smells, I'd consider this a complete non-issue.Overall, this is a great product. It does everything I wanted (with a few minor nitpicks as mentioned), and the quality and look exceeded my expectations considering the low price. I've spent much more for tablet cases (such as the $80 I spent on a Melcko case), and this one is comparable in quality (in some ways, even better) for a much lower price.

Magnets are proven to be problematic for electronics unless one is very careful about their strength and location in relation to the device. All I want is a simple protective case that avoids any chance of a magnet damaging my $400 galaxy tab pro 8.4 tablet! I am a big boy, I can turn my tablet on and off myself and am capable of using a latch or strap to keep my case closed.This is the second case I have ordered from Amazon which actually has the very wake/sleep magnet I seek to avoid yet makes no mention of that feature in the product description page. This is a very simple product which only has a handful of features that can be talked about at all. It must take an effort of willful negligence to list a page full of features and specs and not mention this fundamental aspect of the case. I even inquired of current owners here who asserted that the case has no magnet. Geezz! All you have to do is insert the tablet and then open and close the case once and you easily see that it wakes and sleeps the device with a magnet!!!I am getting very fed up with misleading information on these pages. Two times now I waste time and money on these misleading cases. Yes, Amazon handles returns and refunds well but I should not be having to go through this nonsense!!I understand that most people want this potentially problematic magic magnet which is why most cases have them and that is fine. Whatever floats your boat. All I want is simple clear information so I can make my own purchase in an informed manner according to my own decisions on the magnet issue. One star to Amazon, Brillo Tech and Supcase for negligent stupidity in listing this product with inadequate information.PS: I am unhappy with my experience of this product as described above - hence my one star rating. IF, however, magnets are not a concern for you, the product itself seems OK. Although its not an Otterbox type of super heavy duty case, it offers moderate levels of physical protection, is reasonably attractive and seems to fit the 8.4 tablet well although I did not leave it in long enough to really test all aspects of the fit and accessability in terms of ports and connections etc

The case is just as pictured and does the job of protecting the tablet. The case material looks good and the stand works just fine. The elastic band holds the case closed in general and holds the flap closed when flipped behind the tablet. The case fits the tablet just right. The tablet snaps in easily, but fits well enough not to fall out. All of the holes in the case line up and you can easily access all ports, buttons, etc. There is a lip around the edge (I suppose in case you were to drop your tablet when the case is open) to prevent the face of the tablet from touching a surface if upside down. However, this edge does not get in the way when swiping from the top or side. Before buying a case, I read way too many reviews to determine what to buy, and ultimately made this choice. If you want thin and floppy like the typical book cover case, you might find this one to be too thick. Alternatively, if you want want a fairly utilitarian case that has the look of a portfolio and does the job of protecting your tablet without tons of added bulk/weight, pick this one. The price helps to make this an easy choice. Don't waste more time looking for something better. At some point you are just splitting hairs.

Perfect fit, looks nice, added bonus of putting tablet to sleep when you close the case (which I don't think was mentioned). Excellent value for money, and the speed of delivery was incredible - I ordered Friday afternoon and it arrived Saturday morning!

Very nice item, fits well and is good quality

Nice case which works and fits well and as described. However, marked down to 4* as the elastic strap is fraying already after very little use, so longevity appears to be questionable, but for the price not really an issue, and would recommend.
