Loved it!
I have to admit that I was not sure I was going to get on with this movie. The original ('Excellent Adventure') is, to this day, one of my all time favourites. It's ('Bogus Journey') sequel I watched again very recently, and (strangely) enjoyed much more this time round. Still unsure of the whole 'Station' thing, and the guy from Faith No More dates it more than anything else.In the years since the first two movies the world has moved on, and then some. Keanu has become a huge (action) star (I read recently that he turned down a role in Oliver Stone's 'Platoon' over concerns about the levels of violence...er, 'John Wick'/'The Matrix' anyone...?), Alex Winter not so much, sadly. And yet it is Alex who I think slots more naturally back into the role of Bill S Preston (Esq), it fits him like a glove. Keanu is great as well, but is slightly more mannered as the older Ted 'Theodore' Logan (can't think of another way of putting it, sorry!) but after a few minutes in their company I had stopped paying attention to how they seemed, and just went along for the ride. And what a joyous ride it is (in my opinion!), a sweet, nostalgic tale, combining elements of the first two movies, along with a slight lament about not having realised their potential etc. To say any more would spoil things, but I will definitely being revisiting 'Face the Music' soon. As for all the comments on here about 'woke/wokeness', I'd say chill out and have some fun - it is obvious the whole thing is a massive labour of love, wears it's heart on it's sleeve, and is not trying to do anything except entertain you.Just my opinion though; watch, and make your own mind up."Be excellent to each other" and "Party on, Dudes!"

In my humble opinion, this was never going to be as good as the first two films
In my humble opinion, this was never going to be as good as the first two films, and its a rare thing that the sequel (let alone the sequel to the sequel) proves to be as good/better than the first film (Wayne's World is a possible notable exception). That said I think this does accomplish more than simply being a self-referential piece of nostalgia riffing gimmickry. There is content here which I had read about, given that the earlier films have been slated as "aging badly" and containing sexism or discriminatory content, I wont bore anyone with why I think that is a serious misjudgement of a simple, comic, feel good adventure (itself a parody of the UK's Dr Who). Thankfully, this is not one long apologia or whinge, which I kind of think it could have been. I have given it less than the five star rating as for me it did not hit the optimistic, happily ever after highs of the two former films, which would have been no easy feat anyway. There are a lot of excellent tropes which have carried over from the other films, a nice cameo, all the returning stars and characters you could possibly hope for (with the exception of Station or the "good robot us's", maybe). Some great comic reflections on music taste, its change over time and even call backs to content which that I bet people forgot from the first and second film. I even liked the time travel satire, although it was largely a reinvention of some content from the first film when the protagonists meet alternate time travelling versions of themselves. In part I like to see shows like this produced because I hope it inspires new viewers to go back and check out the original/earlier content. The first film remains the best of the three movies for me, I really loved the High School History Report, the concerts, or concert events, of the later films I think were largely trying to reproduce that. Plus I like the version of the future in the first film the most. This is worth a watch still, although it is not excellent like the others where.

"Be excellent to eachother..."
This is a Blu-Ray review.I have loved this franchise ever since I was a kid. A set of films I have watched dozens of times and never gotten bored of. I am able to recite 'Excellent Adventure' and 'Bogus Journey' off by heart. So when I heard they were finally going to make a third movie, I was elated.Which brings us to 'Face The Music'. It's not as good as it's predecessor films but it's not bad either. Obviously the surviving cast have aged a fair but since 'Bogus Journey' but it's easy to get back into the rhythm of the character's as soon as the film starts (Keanu Reeves, suddenly playing the bagpipes, really did make me laugh aloud!)Unfortunately though, I think the actor that played Rufus, had passed away and couldn't be in the film but the creaters gave him a cgi cameo, which was very sweet. My only real critique of the film and the only things I don't like is the messing with the original mythology... Bill & Ted, are no longer the saviours of the universe, they never saved the world, even though the news paper articles at the end of 'Bogus Journey' say they did and their son's (as also revealed at the end of Bogus Journey) have now for some reason become female's!NO! NO! NO!! Never mess with a franchise's mythology!!!But apart from that, it's very good and I like the way they incorporate the first two films ideas into this one too I.e. Time travel (Excellent Adventure) and the afterlife (Bogus Journey).Bonus features include: interviews, making of, and a look at Death's home in hell.

divertente
Film carino e divertente, magari il meno solido della trilogia però è stato un ottima conclusione della storia
