Festool204844 Systainer

I like it

Good news is that this Festool storage systainer arrived a week earlier! The bad news is that it either wasn't packed well or it is a "return" item. There is a cut across the top of the systainer about 6" long. It looks like someone opened the original box and the razor knife, box cutter went through the cardboard box and across the top of the systainer. The cut is mostly an eye sore and quality issue, it doesn't impact the functionality of the systainer so I'm not returning it.

Ok I dunno why Amazon UK sells these new Sys Gen 3s at such a friggin awesome price... but I’m not gonna ask anyone THAT !!!🤦🏽‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️😜🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣This latest version of Festool/Tanos’ Wonder Tool Box hit the shelves around March I think, and since then I too have succumbed to that green kool-aid craving!Yes I love Festool’s Actual Tools, but at first glance it seems I’m spending more cash 💵 n their Systainers!!! Well, I’m not!!!Amazon UK has THE best price I at least can find anywhere ...and so in the past months I found myself amassing a fair amount of these fabulous buggers and slowly cleaning up shop(or kitchen 🤦🏽‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️😱😜🤣) by transferring and organizing allll my tools, (DeWalt,Milwaukee, Freud/Diablo, Dremel, Worx And Festool of course)accessories,chargers, batteries, paint supplies, consumables, cleaning , guards and protective gear , you name it !... to/in Festool Systainers!!I still have quite a way to go before I’ve finished the task of getting Allll of it , but I never dreamed I would be able to get this far , budget wise. Thanks to Amazon UK and Festool of course, it’s proving to be pricey yes, but not nearly as expensive as I initially thought it would be. And the added worth of downright smack dab perfect organization and accessibility is , without a shadow (Foam 🤦🏽‍♀️😜) of a doubt, totally worth the price!Yes yes I also got me some Kaizen/Shadow Foam and that too is a simply splendid addition to these darlings! Providing the perfect internal storage solution for your tools in the Systainer.For the top lid , if you find you need some extra protection from above for your tools or contents, you can also get some lid foam tailor made by Festool, specifically for their Systainers(mind you ,I don’t think they have a version of lid foam for these newer Gen3s as of yet..but they ARE easily modified to fit...Hey Festool any updated lid foam comin in soon???🤷🏻‍♀️😎😜😜😜.) ,very decent price , super easily sticks on the bottom of that Systainer Lid, and bam you are good to go baby!!This week I got me a long awaited Festool HK85 from the wonderful folks at Mobiltecnica, Italy .... well the only problem was that the delivery service didn’t do such a great job of...delivering🤦🏽‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🤣🤣🤣 and that babies SYS5 T-Loc ( the gen2 version) came totally beat up!! The lid was un-openable!!! So... I quickly recovered from my initial shock , and after some quick fixer uppers I managed to somehow fix that beat up SYS5 ....at least as much as it could be fixed, and moved that monster of a Saw into a new home in a newer Gen3 Sys M437(which I got a while back from the oh so excellent Allan Wadkins Tool Store in the UK)I don’t think she minds at all!!! In fact , that baby is pretty heavy, and the M437 has a bottom handle that makes hauling her around even easier than it was in her original home !!!So to sum up this end of Summer Sys-FestIf you love working with tools, and you own a bunch of em, and they’re lying around yer shop in random scattered different types of boxes and whatnot, time to upgrade to some of these here out of this world Sys Gen3s ...the price is worth it , and the peace of mind established afterwards is truly unprecedented!!!Thank you Tanos/Festool ,Amazon ,and everyone else !!

It’s festool nothing else to say. Price is decent, I gave it 4 stars because for some reason of mine it just feels a tat thinner/lighter compared to my other ones, but maybe it’s just me.

Very useful and practice it makes your life easier.

Handle keeps falling off very annoying worst festool box ever

Dass die Systeme von Festool gar nicht gebaut werden, stört nicht so sehr. Der neueste Clou mit dem Griff ist aber eine Katastrophe. Ein unangenehmes nerviges Gerupfe an dem einrastenden Griff.Less is more (Mies van der Rohe).Oh die Qualität der Stier-Container ist exakt dieselbe ohne diese doofe Klickfunktion des Griffes.Weitersagen …
