These are great for driving; just don't mind how you look
These are great sunglasses; they really block the sunlight from all sides, unlike the flat kind that let bright light around the edges.I love these sunglasses because they fit neatly over my regular glasses (which are not small), but are also quite usable without glasses. When I wear contacts, these shades are just as great, and my daughter also loves them.Yes, they make you look a bit dorky. But being able to see and not incur damage to your eyes is worth it. By the way, medical advice now says bright sunlight can exacerbate macular degeneration so I've tried to always wear them when driving.I have one in each car and I would highly recommend them for driving. The one thing is that they don't fit in our traditional sunglasses holders in either the Toyota or the Chrysler. Therefore, I put a soft neck gator in one of the cup holders, and now the shades live in the holder surrounded by soft cloth. It's better than leaving them loose in the glove compartment or utility shelf, where over time the plastic becomes scratched.

Fits over any glasses
These work great over glasses especially after having your eyes dilated- great thing to have when you walk into sunshine after an eye Dr appointment

Great Sunglasses, BUT NOT FOR DRIVING
So I love these sunglasses, they filter light but still leave the world seeming upbeat rather than downcast, they're comfy... but when you are in a car, they create an additional blind spot due to their thick-ass frame that resulted in me getting in a car accident. I checked my blind spot- but not enough to overcome the added-on blind spot these glasses created. So I would highly recommend them, unless you plan on wearing them driving, in which case some glasses with a thinner frame would be better.

Sunglasses
Not wide enough. They crack after a while.

Excellent eye protection; clear vision!
My opthalmologist stresses the importance of eye protection when outdoors, and these sunglasses truly accomplish that. I actually don't wear them over prescription glasses, but really wanted a good quality polarized lens in a wrap-around style for outdoor wear. I first became familiar with the Solar Shield style when my opthalmologist gave me a pair to use after eye surgery two years ago, and I was impressed with the quality and clear vision offered by the polarized lenses. Having a second pair means they're always handy, for use outdoors around the house, or for driving.

VERY VERSATILE FOR EYEGLASS WEARERS
These are my go-to sunglasses. They work very well on their own, but where they really shine over regular eyeglasses. I got cataract surgery 5 years ago - and no longer need glasses to drive - but I still wear reading glasses a lot, and it's convenient to not have to worry about what sunglasses I pair up with all that. Your mileage may vary, void where prohibited, objects in mirror may be closer than they appear.
