good fruitcake not overpowering

I order fruitcake several times during the year and usually try a different one each time. This one has been ordered 3 times now. It is not loaded with the usual fruit and nuts, although it does contain some fruit. When I received the first one I thought it was chocolate (🫣) but the dark color is the result of a deep rich wine. It truly is phenomenal ❗️❗️❗️

Traditional Colombian black cake. My mother-in-law baked this type of cake when I married her daughter. I am very familiar with the flavor. Very dense and rich almost chocolately in flavor but I don’t believe it contains any chocolate but I am not certain. This was very good but it could have easily arrived crushed as packaging was only the manufacturer’s bakery box container shipped in an Amazon plastic bag. So not vey substantial. A number of reviewers have complained of theirs arriving damaged. But mine was ok arriving undamaged. Description states this as a size/weight of 600 grams but it was 500 grams. I received a partial refund and wanted to order it again the but description HAS NOT BEEN CHANGED so the price is too high for this much reduction in size. Only two stars due to misleading description

This fruitcake was full of flavor and really moist. I purchased it to give to a friend from Columbia, then purchased one just to taste. It was really the best fruitcake I've ever had.
