Good quality cards for small watercolors
I had a lot of fun with a children’s watercolor postcard set, so I bought these to try using “grown up” watercolor postcards. This is my first time using “real” watercolor paper, and the 300gsm paper makes a big difference! The postcard size is perfect for small projects/illustrations.The paper is very textured, so I don’t think I would use it with markers/pen drawings as much, but the texture adds a charming effect to watercolors! The cards were slightly curved after drying, but not in a rippled way like when you use a lower paper weight.I like that the postcards don’t have any branding info/extra text on the back, although it would be nice to have more space for the message than for the address.I haven’t mailed any of my cards out yet, but I expect them to hold up well, since they’re much sturdier/thicker than most souvenir postcards. The metal tin is about an inch thick, and makes it easier to protect and carry your cards (when dry).

Very good quality for the price
Very good quality and affordable price. The paper has two sides: smooth and texturedI use the textured side for coloring and the smoother side to take notes about my painting.

Love it!
I bought these for myself and made several Christmas Post Cards to send out this year. I'm not a professional artist. I'm just getting started in watercolor, so I can't speak for the paper quality. However, I will say they worked great for me. I also loved the cute little tin that they came in. I even bought a second one and had it sent to my friend. She just moved and her 2 daughters left behind some really good friends. This made a perfect gift for them. Now they can send their own postcards back home to their friends 🧡

Watercolor cards.
The paper was ok, it warped some not laying completely flat after it dried. For the cost it was middle of the line and was affordable. It was I believe 5 by 7 perfect size for greeting card.

These make good greeting cards
I used these for creating watercolor Christmas cards. They're heavy enough to hold up, but I don't do a lot of scrubbing on such small paintings.

Going to be buying my 3rd box soon, I love these!
I absolutely LOVE these! I just ordered my second box, and I’ll be ordering a third very soon. The paper texture is wonderful. The thickness is good, you can be slightly heavy with watercolor, but tape the edges down to prevent buckling, other than that there is minimal if any buckling. They work great with gouache, watercolor and sketch. I sell mine, so I even put 2-3 coats of Kamar varnish on to protect the painting and they still will send through the mail just fine. Whether you are a beginner or a professional these are great, but I wouldn’t want to “just play around” with these, if you want a sketch pad buy a sketch pad.

These are wonderful!
These postcards are easy to paint on, takes a little scrubbing off mistakes, and is a good value.

Nice quality paper
These watercolor postcards are perfect for traveling. I love the metal box that will keep them from getting bent. The paper is good, but does not hold up very well to lifting paint off. It is more for quick studies rather than building up many layers of paint.

Excellent. Highly recommend!
I love these. I use them for little watercolour cartoons and they are great.Hold pigment well. Don’t warp or buckle. No bleed through. I even write in biro and sometimes ink on them and there’s no evidence I’ve done so on the other side. Markings for a postcard on one side and plain on the front. Thick and a lot of water can be used without any breakdown of the surface. Have bought many times. The tins are nice. There’s a piece of foam placed on top of the postcards to stop them moving about and making a noise as they hit the tin whilst on the go. The tin they come in is very nice and has a hinged kid. Nice way to keep them safe while travelling.

Very nice but a little pricey
I’m just getting into water colours. The product only arrived today so I have not even tried them yet so I can’t comment on things like absorbency.I wanted these to form a little travel kit. The tin is attractive and arrived with no dents or scratches, and there is a foam layer inside the tin to stop the cards rattling around (but can also be removed if you need more space).I have given 4 stars because it still just instinctively feels a little pricey (10 quid) for essentially just 24 blank postcards. Even if the card is really good, when you compare it to the price of other watercolour pads of similar weight paper, it feels a bit expensive. Ok, so you get a tin but still, £8 feels like it might have been more appropriate.
