CTA Tools 9605 11 Pc. Torx Plus Socket Set

Well, I got them, but most have rust developed on them..

I had my doubts, but they do say USA on them which is getting harder to find in tools. I've only used one size one time, but it held up fine on some very tight 4L60E bellhousing bolts.

These fit the Sasquatch bead lock trim rings and some other “Bronco Bolts” on the truck. There is a difference between Torx and Torx Plus.

I honestly never knew these existed! That explains why some of my torx sockets get stripped or break! Very useful and a must have. I bought a set for work and home

These fit the cam support fasteners on a 2004 Subaru Forester, where a regular Torx is either a little too small or too big. The sockets have a two piece construction, which is typically stronger in my experience than the one piece style which cracks more easily. The size is deeply stamped and easy to read (see picture). The ones I received were made in the USA, and didn't cost much more than the lesser known import brands. The attached picture shows the socket drive for each size.

Ordered set to properly remove/install a Nissan flywheel. Only used TP55. Held up fine during removal with a powerful Matco 20v 1/2" drive battery impact gun. Also worked well during install with a click-type torque wrench.Sockets and holder closely resemble some SK sockets I've purchased in the past. Quality should be just fine.

Very nice quality, fits ATI damper bolts perfectly. Made in USA is a solid bonus. Would absolutely recommend.

After finding that none of my Torx bits fit certain screw heads on my new pickup truck I went looking (fruitlessly) for a Torx size 35 bit. It turns out there is no such thing. Instead, there is an improved style of the Torx design called Torx Plus and that the screw heads on my truck used the size 27 Torx Plus bit. I bought this product so that I could have a selection of Torx Plus bits and was pleased to find them to be well made and nicely finished. The set comes with a black, rubbery thing that has holes the right size to hold all the bits snugly. I'm very happy with this addition to my toolbox.
