Hess 2001 Toy Helicopter with Motorcycle and Cruiser

My son started getting this from his aunt and uncle when he was little. Now, grown, he still enjoys getting one as a gift. They are well built toys. Love the creativity in each one!

This was my first Hess that I brought for myself.

The only problem I had was the batteries were corroded and I had to replace and scrape off the terminals before I could give product as a gift.

The batteries come in the little Jeep and motorcycle. Normally that would be nice, but the lights didn’t work in the motorcycle and the batteries in the Jeep were so corroded I couldn’t change out. When I put the 2 C batteries in the helicopter, only one set of roters worked. I will be sending back; my 5 year old son was so disappointed. Overall it’s a cool toy if it all worked but I knew this when I read the other reviews and they’re stuff didn’t all work either. If you buy, you’re taking a chance some of the items won’t work.

Very light in weight, have this brand of toys and they were metal and sturdy,, this model is light weight plastic and batteries were in toy and all leaked and had corroded. Did not work. HAD TO RETURN.

My 2&1/2 yr old son made this his favorite even over the nabi tablet! The lights and rotors work on the copter. The lights on the truck and motorcycle also come on. They each take a different size battery so I have yet to put them in the motorcycle. Its the small button battery. Toy is well made with thick plastic. My son loves opening the doors and putting the vehicles inside. I am planning to phrchase another set for his birthday.

One of the two blades did not spin and it was easily replaced but it had the same issue. It was a birthday gift so no time to replace again, but it’s 20 years old. It’s a Hess so well made to begin with. My grandson loved it.
