The Fly Collection

First thoughts of this fly boxset is it is quite extensive in special features,i believe it has some special features ported over from older releases of these films.The fly films themselves vary in how they are.

The films and the set deserve 5 stars. However ...I ordered three of these sets and intended to gift two. Every single disc in each one of the three sets were either badly scratched or full of blemishes. The three discs I sampled all exhibited at least one freeze or one total crash during playback. Looks like the work of the Mexico replication plant again. Also, although all three sets were sealed, for one of them the cases had a lot of wear on the spine. How is that possible for a brand new set? Not Amazon's fault at all, I should point out.Anyway, fantastic set of brilliant films but unfortunately the absence of Quality Assurance processes makes this set not fit for purpose. I am so tired of buying brand new US discs that come scratched or damaged straight from the factory...

Received this in good order. The original fly is in this collection is in color - I think it stated black and white but that is for the fly returns, haven't got past the first one but love the movies so I'm looking forward to watching the rest.

This is the definitive Fly box set, I highly doubt Disney will put these out on 4K any time soon because they are a bunch of schmucks. The transfers for The Fly 58,86, and Return are the same as the Fox releases, this is Curse of the Fly and Fly II's blu ray debut in the US so the transfers are a bit different. The Fly 58 looks fine and I see no fault with it, it has amazing DTS sound and some features. Same goes for Return/Fly. Curse/Fly's transfer is serviceable but nothing exceptional, there really isn't much to compare it too since it's so obscure but it does sound good. The Fly 86 looks solid enough, but it could use a fresh remaster because this HD master is quite old. It has very good audio options including the original stereo track which hasn't been seen since the VHS/LD era and exclusive to this release, there are a bunch of new extras as well with everything ported over from the old discs. The Fly II transfer looks quite good, a big step up from the previous DVD and has two audio tracks, a DTS 5.1 and original DTS 2.0 stereo. Surprisingly this one has the most features in the box set new and old. All and all, buy this before it goes OOP.

Yo siempre me rifo con los precio, jamas pago a precio, solo ofertas y box sets, esta me salio en 600 que es el precio justo....La verdad es necesario si te gusta la saga va hacer casi imposible si las compras por separado..

Para colecionadores, um ótimo box que reúne alguns clássicos do sci fi horror.
