I bought this for my husband as a Christmas gift. He's been wanting a dutch oven for years because of their versatility and ability to make it your one stop pot for any given meal. Needless to say, i was a little overwhelmed when I searched for them and found how expensive some of the top/name brands were. I was nervous to go Amazon style on this one, but after reading countless reviews and comparing, it was a no brainer. He's used it so often and loves it. It does get VERY hot, even when it's sitting on a simmering burner. Powerful heat distribution, but totally easy to clean and great otherwise. The color is beautiful, but the outside material does leave some smudges or fingerprints. Overall very happy I purchased.

I love this heavy duty cast iron Dutch oven. I use it for so many things from my white chicken chili on the stove top to my chicken tetrazizni which is a combination of stove top and oven. Cleans well and I love the color too!

This is a beautiful stockpot by a well known company Mirro. I love the gray with the creamy interior. It is very heavy which would be the only drawback if someone has arthritis in their hands or wrists. Very heavy. You definitely do not want to "slide" this across any burner. That said - their piece should last a lifetime and become a heritage piece for generations. As long as it is not abused. Do not put it in cold water when it's hot. Do not use metal utensils on it. When not in use, I leave their piece on my stove it looks so nice.

Appears to be just interior enamel coating. Hard to find clear documentation for many vendors. This one says “no non-stick”. Trying to avoid hidden sources of “forever chemicals”.

I LOVE MY DUTCH OVEN!! I use it several times a week. Frying, baking bread, soups, spaghetti, you name it this pot can do it all with easy clean up! I always hand wash mine after each time and it still looks good as new after about 10 uses.**UPDATED REVIEW**I used my Dutch oven two days ago and when I was finished baking bread, I noticed there was ceramic coating chipping off the bottom! I’m so upset and it can’t use it for the fact the coating could get into my food. I was baking bread with parchment paper thankfully. I’m so devastated!

Love it! Just buy it, you won't find anything better! No need to spend hundreds, this does it all. It's heavy, but that is not a draw back, it's cast iron, of course it will be heavy. Easy to clean and great color!
