Pancake Holster

I ordered this holster in hope that it would be a versatile and one fit for my pistol. I looked at every site I could find for a review and could not find anything to be said for it. With that in mind, here is what I discovered..... I wanted a holster that would give me a lasting use, being well built, "Made For" my weapon and preferably leather. Granted, finding this holster for a GREAT price helped the decision to try. Upon opening the package, I was pleased. Nice appearance, stitching looked great, attention to detail was apparent. I went to the Vega website and read their Break-In suggestion. Follow it... it works. Put pistol in a 1 gallon plastic bag, worked it into the holster, let it sit over night, then ran it in and out about 100 times the next morning. PERFECT. Retention is great. Thumb Break sits well and holds good until activated; then it opens well and does not hold the drawing in any way. In pictures, they don't seem to show the back (Belt side). The back is slightly contoured to fit your hip/waist. The slots for the belt are solid and thick without adding bulk. In SOB position, it holds steady, but isn't perfect. A lighter weapon would surely hold better, but a heavier (.40) weapon doesn't snug up as well. In Hip and Cross Carry, excellent holster. Rides very well (mid height) and is very secure in drawing. Over all, I rate this holster as one of the best I've gotten.
