This is a nice sturdy base for the Echo Show 8.The biggest benefit I had from using this base is the reduction in bass vibration when playing music, which lead to a bit of distortion when I had the Echo play on the desk. That's gone now.It gives a small reduction in the footprint taken up by the device, which has helped with me using it on a small desk.The twist and tilt function is, like other people have mentioned, very stiff, however when moving out with the Echo on it doesn't make me feel like I'm going to break it, and I'm sure it will loosen up with time.The magnet in the base plate slots in to to gap on the Echo and keeps it firmly in place. You can lift the show and the base stays firmly attached.The last plus is that it's cheaper than Amazon's official offering

I do find the price of these stands over priced for what they are, however that being said, the stand is solid with a good weight, fits show 8 perfectly with a magnetic touch that goes into the base of the show. The tilt action is a little stiff and i was worried i might snap the item but didn't luckily.

It's Alexa with a screen. Great sound and picture quality. If you're worried about how to watch YouTube on it, then don't. You can just ask Alexa to 'open youtube' and she opens it up on a browser. You can sign in and all your subscriptions are there. It's just what I needed in my studio. Recommended!

returned through ups as told, doesn't look like it has left their warehouse yet, so no refund as yet.got it to display door camera, but using an old ipad instead, i cancelled the show 8 as wasn't required anymore

Just want I needed, Shame a stand doesn’t come with the device but highly recommend getting this one

Doesn't give you full flexibility. Screen doesnt sit straight and points towards the roof

This allows for a better view with the camera as we had been using coasters to make the Alexa tilt.

When you try to move the show it comes off the stand as the magnet isn't strong enough. Wouldn't recommend
