Vigo Authentic Santa Fe Beans & Rice, Low Fat, 8oz (Santa Fe Beans & Rice, 8 Ounce (Pack of 12))

I love the Vigo black beans and rice and red beans and rice but I'm a little disappointed in this one. The flavor is fantastic as with all of the Vigo rice dishes, but it really could do without the dried corn. With the cooking directions as they are, the corn doesn't have time to fully rehydrate or something and I get kind of crunchy/sticky pieces of corn all the time. The only real way around this is too pick out all of the corn and stick in some water for a while first to rehydrate, which is obviously a huge hassle.

Not exactly about the product but receiving the package. Opened up the box and it was infested with ants, hundreds. So grossed out! Had to spray down and clean the entire kitchen even though I immediately threw the box back outside. Will probably not order this product online again.

This was a little pricey but it has a good flavor.

Cooks up easily and nicely for a satisfying meal after a hard day at work. 700 calories or so, which provides the fuel needed for the evening. For beans and rice out of the bag, this is pretty hard to beat.

This is a wonderful rice side dish. IF there are any leftovers,toss in some leftover cooked chicken.... put mixture on a flour tortilla top with shredded cheese... wrap burrito style and nuke for 30 seconds or so...YUMMY

It's nice to have a quick and easy dish to make that everyone in my family likes (two adults, five kids). These are great and I will continue to get them in the future.

These are REALLY good, great for camping, and RVing. They keep well, and are delicious.
