I was super excited about this product -- in theory. In reality, I felt disappointed (and kinda scammed). The one I received was damaged and has only 6 categories (not 10) and most of them are pretty generic. The Idea, Wisdom, and Gift Cards, for instance, could easily have been collapsed into one category and aren't really song prompts at all, but more globalized, feel-good words of encouragement. And the Harmony cards are limited / not-comprehensive to the key. I just didn't find the content of the cards to be as substantive as I had hoped. But you may have better luck with the updated, 10-category version? In any case, go write a song. Seriously, right now... You.

I have composed many songs musically but have struggled to put words to them. This kit has provided me with a great deal of inspiration. I am also sharing this kit with my piano students to help the with composition and we have a lot of fun with it. Most importantly it helps keep the focus and flow.

This is a gift for my niece for Christmas. I’ve heard this is exactly what a songwriter needs, so I’m excited to give them to her!

Quality of cards is good. Prompts are helpful to set a direction for song writing. Helpful if you are stuck or just need help getting started

when you consider that this is nothing more than two packs of playing card size cards they are grossly overpriced, and in my opinion are of very little practical use.
