We've recently put one of these into a cloak room cupboard with no natural light - we didn't want a light-switch that I'd sometimes forget to turn off and we didn't want to overdo things with a PIR or microwave sensor that may be hit or miss.It's still early days, with it installed for around a week, but it works perfectly - so quickly that you almost doubt that the light ever turns off. Compared to our old setup with a battery-powered PIR puck-light on the wall the difference is night and day.Out of the box it feels a little basic, not flimsy but not rugged either, but once it's installed against a door jamb it seems perfectly well built. The switch is simple but reassuringly "clicky"... I mean it's a switch you never have to physically touch.I'll update the review if any faults develop but, so far, this is one of those fantastically simply products, at a good price, which performs exactly as desired. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

I added these switches to the 2 doors I have under my stairs and wired them to the light. They operate as expected and turn the light on and off when using the doors.Good quality and seems sturdy. They have been fitted for about a month and no problems so far.

Seem fit for purpose but only just installed

Bought this for my loft hatch and it's fantastic works a treat.

Easy to install. Worked for about 5 minutes, (about 5 goes of opening and closing the door) then stopped, with the switch jammed in the "on" position" somehow. Very poor quality.

Ive had two of these fitted in cupboards for over 2 years, no problem. Only one light in each cupboard. It says 2A and just fitted on a circuit with three LED bulbs and the contacts fused together. Fitted a second and the same thing. Less than an amp being drawn when on. Only explanation is the surge when switching on drawing more current but whatever not so good. - Edit: Just found out that LED lights can draw an initial current up to 10-times their running current. Which explains the contacts fusing.

Needed this to light an airing cupboard when the door was opened. Simply pop the supply live wire in the terminal and put your light source or switched live to the other terminal. Affix in a suitable place where the door would operate the switch when open/closed. Nice job done, few minutes to install. For inspiration, I have also installed these in a wardrobe and a bar cupboard to LED lights.
