Works for the price, but has issues
I've had this pump for just over a year now. I'm using it in my indoor shrimp pond as a low-power fountain pump - the fountain reaches about 24" high with an umbrella-style fitting at the top, and I needed something low-power so it wouldn't launch the water halfway across the room. This pump performed decently, but it has a bad tendency to freeze up with no obvious provocation. The motor still tries to run, but the fan simply isn't moving. I can feel the vibration of the motor through the fan blades, but no motion. Simply mechanically dislodging the fan usually gets it to run again, but as this is positioned under a heavy rock fountain in the middle of a 4' pond, I have a lot of difficulty getting to it. I started jabbing a piece of bamboo down through the outlet port to jar the fan, and that worked a dozen or so times, but now the fan just isn't coming free. I can still feel the vibration through it when I plug the unit in. So the reliability, especially in the long term, isn't necessarily the best, but if you use the unit where it's easily accessible, it shouldn't be a major problem.Otherwise, it's a decent pump. Again, I wanted something low-power, and this performs fairly well, with a sliding piece to adjust the input/output volume. The suction cups do stick too well, so I've lost most of mine, but I don't find that to be a problem. It is very quiet, though. I really like that part, and the price is fair. I just wish mine didn't get stuck so often.

Noisy, rattling impeller; marginal replacement for Jingnuo JN-377 pump
Bought this to replace a 3-year-old (now dead) Jingnuo JN-377 pump that came in a small outdoor fountain. The 24" rise is near the maximum for this pump (the Jingnuo lists 37" so it was much stronger even with a slightly lower flow), so I didn't expect much. It works, but the flow is quite weak. That's on me for pushing the pump to its limit, but I did not expect the impeller to be rattling around in its cage like it does. The Jingnuo was nearly silent, this one sounds like its missing a bushing. Recommend staying well within the 26" max rise given for this pump.

It fits the Dogit fountain!
The manufacturer of the Dogit fountain for dogs has discontinued the pump that goes with the fountain (I contacted them directly). I've tried several different pumps and they were too big, not powerful enough, or too small. Finally, something that works!

An Almost Exact Replacement of the Original PetMate Deluxe Fresh Flow Pump - And It Works!
I purchased this product to replace a previous version of the pump that was shipped with a PetMate Deluxe Fresh Flow water fountain/dish. The main difference between these two pumps was that the original had a dial knob that was used to control the water flow (see attached picture). This new one uses a slider inside the front "filter", and must be adjusted with the unit outside of the fountain/dish; this is not a problem once the right flow is determined. But I did prefer the ease of use of the original flow control. Note: The old front flow controller/filter could be used with the new unit, but it is not as snug as I would like. The only negative I can really state is that the rubber suction cups REALLY work well on the plastic of the fountain. Unfortunately, the downside is that when I have to remove the pump from the fountain to clean it (and I have to do that at least once a week, as my cats tend to drop food into this dish), the suction cups stay behind, pulling out of the pump. I never had that problem with the old pump. I have found that this is not too bad, as with the help of a jeweler's flathead screwdriver, I can pop them back into the bottom of the pump without much effort.I have read other reviews stating that this pump is very noisy; I have always found this pump to run silently except when:a) The pump is just turned on after cleaning and it still has air in it; I have found that after 15 seconds or so, the air is passed and the pump runs silently as expected.b) The front filter becomes clogged and cannot pass enough water; then the unit does get noisy. When normally running, neither I nor my cats are disturbed by any noises from this pump. I am definitely happy with the silent running of this unit. One other small "gotcha" with this new unit vs the old was the on/off switch on the cord the old pump had. This is a minor difference, as I rarely used it anyway, as I would just disconnect the cord from the adapter when cleaning the fountain anyway; an extra switch is just that, extra.Overall, I am satisfied with this replacement unit (which by the way, had EXACTLY the same model number as the old unit). It does the job, and it does it silently. And it fits my PetMate Deluxe Fresh Flow water fountain/dish perfectly, once I replaced the 1/2" nozzle with the 1/4" (smaller) one. My cats love using the fountain, and will no longer use a bowl unless the fountain is not available (i.e., in the dishwasher).

Has lasted over 5 years!
Update December 2019:Well, after a few of days of use, the pump motor built up some slime, which made it much quieter. So, I never did return it.I must say, it has worked out pretty well, and it has been running not stop for 5 years.I thought it died the other day, but found that there was some fun that built up in the hole where the magnet on the impeller shaft sides in. I was able to use Q-tips to clean it out, and it is good as after break-in new!So, I would recommend this pump, if it still made the same. From 2014:I am planning to return this pump. I bought it because of the good reviews, and the short lifespan of the original Pet Mate pump in my cat's water bowl. He likes to drink at the top of the slide where the water comes out, and without a working pump, that is not possible. The original Pet Mate pump was nearly silent, but did not pump a lot of water. It was enough to circulate it though. Last week, the wire developed a break near the pump motor from being forced into a 90 degree bend by the design of the bowl. They should make the wire come out the top of the pump!! Anyway, I tried putting the Pet Mate impeller blade into this pump, which made it go from a loud rattle that scared the cat away completely to a lower grinding noise that he finally approached and did drink from. But, I cannot tolerate this noise near my desk all day! I will have to go to Target and get a whole new bowl and pump for about the same price as just the pump, once I am near civilization again.

Super
Pompe submersible très puissante un peu bruyante mais je l'ai installé sur un caoutchouc à l'intérieur du ma fontaine et on ne l'entend plus. Je la recommande mais pour une grosse fontaine.

Very good pump, excellent value for money
Works great, good pressure on the pump and the water flow looks great on the fountain. It come with 3 or 4 different nozzles so you can use different size hosepipe or tubing on it. Has sucking pads on the bottom to keep it steady. Overall I'm very satisfied.

Great Little Pump!
Bought this pump for our little fountain which the original had seized up! Works great and has a flow speed adjustment. Great for larger fountains also I would guess.
