The width of the hook portion is 1 1/2 inches. My closet rod has a diameter of 1 1/8 inches and the hangers fit fine.

Too small for 7 to10 years. More for toddlers

Q: Up to what size clothes can these fit? I'm looking for ones that will fit 2T-3T, 5/6, & 12-14

My grandson wears 7/8 and they work well....believe they are too small for 12-14

Q: How would these work for a ten year olds clothes?

They would probably work for shirts if your ten year old isn’t adult sized. They aren’t very big though. I use them for my four month old's clothes.
