Source Naturals Mega-One Muti-Vitamin with Minerals, No Iron - 180 Tablets

Remember, this is going into your body and this is not a regulated industry. Now, I've been purchasing the MEGA-ONE's since 2016 - was I dedicated? Yes, and I am somewhat of a nutrition nut. Now I had been take these daily, automatically without even thinking about it. But one morning, I noticed the pill was very dark. I thought, hmm, I store these the same way since 2016 - so no changes there. Then, I thought, maybe it's just a one-off fluke - I emptied what was remaining from the bottle, and there were many that were much darker than what I've been used to seeing. Arrgh, I don't know how many dark ones I might have already taken - hopefully, none. Okay, let me see what Source Naturals says. I contact Source Naturals, and get an email back from @thresholdent.com. Okay, companies get bought and sold all of the time, no worries - at least I got an empathetic reply. I let them know I can send pic's, and they said to send pic's with the lot #. I send two pics, one included here - and then no response. I been travelling and a couple of weeks went by so I send another email - "maybe you just missed my other email". Still, no response... I've since switched to NutraBio's Multisport vitamins available on nutabio.com and of course, Amazon. They are made in the US, are pharmaceutical grade, and each ingredient is chelated so your body fully absorbs/utilizes these vitamins - they are not hard, large tablets either...

An excellent mega-multivitamin. I take this when I've eaten enough iron, then take another multivitamin with iron when I haven't. The rationale for taking high levels of vitamins is the B.N. Ames hypothesis: during evolution, the metabolic energy pathways required to keep cells alive evolved to have higher affinities for the essential vitamins than other non-essential pathways such as those responsible for large molecule maintenance (DNA, collagen, etc). The reason is that keeping the cell alive is the highest priority -- even higher than maintenance. If the enzymes in the maintenance pathways would have high affinity for the same essential vitamins (which are used by hundreds of different pathways), during a food scarcity when vitamins are not available in the diet, the maintenance pathways would bind the vitamins and tend to prevent the essential metabolic pathways from functioning at full throttle, putting at risk the cell's survival. Therefore, the maintenance pathways generally have lower affinity for their required vitamins and don't function as well with low vitamin levels. This is good -- a life-saving property of the maintenance pathways. It is also the reason that higher levels of vitamins in a mega-multi-vitamin can be helpful in preventing progressive diseases associated with slow degradation of body tissues, such as heart disease, cancer, diabetes, eye problems.

I have been taking these vitamins for about a year now. During this time, I developed neuropathy (tingling, sharp jabs of pain, and/or itching) in my feet. I went to the doctor to make sure I had not become diabetic (which can cause neuropathy), but the results were negative. So after searching the internet, I learned that too much vitamin B6 can cause neuropathy in your extremities. So I quit taking these vitamins for a week, and slowly the neuropathy in my feet is lessening. The B6 in this vitamin is almost 5000% of the recommended daily dosage, which is the most the FDA will allow. So please be careful - even vitamins can be a problem.

Best vitamin tablet I have used to date! Affordable, one-tablet per day (not 6!), combines essential vitamins and minerals, and is a trusted brand name - one of the best in the industry. Vitamins are not all the same. Brand names matter. This form is easily absorbed, no fillers, very high quality. And totally affordable. You don't need iron unless you are anemic. Heartily recommend this vitamin for all teens and adults.

This product is for my dog. She had cancer five years ago and her diet oncologist said to give her this once a day with a meal. She’s doing great.

Horrible smell. When I opened the bottle all I could smell was urine. After choking one down I gave off a urine smell.

Bright colored, smelly pee; works well!
