I'm an experienced professional multi-instrumentalist and I am very pleased with this melodica. The tone is really nice on the lower end and then it transitions smoothly into the higher register as well. I enjoyed having both tube and non-tube mouthpieces, and beginners will appreciate the note stickers. The notes are very well in tune. Go out and buy yourself one already!!

Full disclaimer, I really purchased this for the case so that I would have a nice case for the Roland Aerophone Mini wind instrument. The cost for just a case was very close to the price of this melodica with a case. Since I also play keyboard instruments, I thought just buy the case and instrument. When watching reviews of melodicas online and reading Amazon reviews, I learned of tuning issues. The tuning for this melodica is not perfect, but it is good and acceptable. Most notes are on pitch or very nearly. Only a couple are off by much. It seems to play easily and have decent response with both soft and loud volumes (shallow and hard breathing). This will be a fun addition to my collection of instruments.

This is a solid, quality product. Mine came with a little set of sticker notes that were color coded; (Do, Re, Mi, Etc.) and the case, as well as a tube and non-tube mouthpiece, and the cleaning rag. This is great for beginners or experienced musicians, and has a great sound. I have owned a melodica in the past. I got this one because of the color. My previous one cost double what this one did and I was amazed that it being cheaper that it sounded as good as the one that was more expensive.It has a great tone and from what I can tell is very in tune even when playing chords. They have many colors to choose from and if u like musical instruments or like to collect pick one of these up they are fun to play and a great conversation starter.

Definitely get the 37 key version. If you are a beginner, you can watch piano or Melodica Videos online. Easy to use. If you are a wind instrument player, this is a great practice tool / backup instrument. The volume is controller by breath-control. Good for late night practice with no roommate disturbance. I will be looking to order Xtra mouthpiece or mouth tube...but this is great for under $40.

Bought just to mess around. It’s really built nicely. It sounds alright, I’d buy it again. It’s fun to jam on.

Good little melodica for the price! Played better than expected, however I wasn't a huge fan of the squared off edges of the tube mouth piece. I do like the other mouth piece that comes with it, I just wish it was compatible with the tube. Otherwise you can't beat the price for some portable music and fun!
