Good for little hens. Tight for big hens.
My brahma hens can't fit in the boxes but my little hens like them just fine. The bottom is a bit flimsy and I wasn't convinced it would hold over time so we reinforced it by building a frame under the whole box. The little screws they send to hang it on a wall are also too small. The assembly instructions are crap. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to put this thing together but the instructions I got were blurry so I couldn't see the panels very well.

Disliked Screws and nuts. Flat head screws? Nuts were odd sized needed a small vise grip plyers to hold on to them.

Very easy to put together. If I had 1 complaint it would be the nest size. My chickens seem to fit snug.but they still use it.

good unit with some concerns to consider
assembly instructions are not that great but it is not too difficlut.This unit must be hung or it does not roll the eggs.Be sure to use two wrenches to tighten nuts and bolts. Consider blue locktite too.Sheet metal edges are sharp. Be careful and consider dulling them in some way.

Nice design, but not sturdy
The box is made of very thin metal and needs to be reinforced. Be careful when assembling, the thin metal has some razor sharp edges.It started to fall apart within a couple weeks of use.Trays fall out of the slide easily from the weight of hens, screws loosen and metal bends too easily.I really LOVE the design though, eggs are protected & stay clean. I just wish it was a sturdier build that would last without extra assistance.

Idea is right but too shallow to stop some chickens
Idea is right but too shallow to stop some chickens. The bad ones can reach in and pull the eggs back out. We added a 4 inch extension so the eggs are 4 inches further away and that does the trick, but to look nice I'll need to rebuild the kit.

Poor Material Quality
What a horrible product. Material failure. We have two red boxes (these) and 4 yellow boxes of similar design. Love the yellow boxes from another supplier with zero issue. These (red) boxes bend and twist causing the nesting trays to fall out every day. Save your money! Have not returned this product due to two reasons, first not to spread disease, second it appeared and not verified we were sent a used box initially
