GOLDENCHILD - PARAMOUNT PRESENTS Volume 11 [BLU-RAY]

Loved this movie when it came out and it still doesn’t disappoint.

Classic film. Great quality transfer. Awesome edition to my collection.

I can't tell you how long I've waited to see this film released on Blu-Ray. It was hard to find on any home video format for some time. Now it's finally arrived and was worth the wait.First of all, the movie is very entertaining. This is Peak Eddie Murphy. He's as funny as he's ever been and he also gets to be a real Action hero. I've always appreciated that this was one of his first PG-13 movies instead of R-rated because he reached a wider audience. I was a teenager when this was released, and I was certainly glad I could see it with no objections from my parents. The film is somewhat dated now as it's firmly ensconced in the 80's, but that's OK. It's got a perfect blend of comedy, action and fantasy. It's just great to look at as well. The cinematography is well done, especially the shots of Tibet and the Himalayas.The Blu-Ray release doesn't disappoint. Great picture and sound and everything is restored to the point where I couldn't detect any scratch or speck. There is a behind-the-scenes documentary included which I found entertaining. It was made around the same time that the film was released. I was hoping that we could get a more recent documentary or commentary with retrospective on how the film has held up over the years, but what they've included is fine.Highly recommended for fans of Eddie Murphy, 80's Action Comedies and Fantasy films.

Another decent Eddie Murphy movie here from his "heyday" as a popular current actor.Artwork is superb throughout the package. Blu-ray looks good and we get the digital copy.Would like to see this get a 4K edition along with Trading Places in the future.

Super clean blu-ray. Great sound & image. This flick is a trip. Same year as BigTroubleInLittleChina. Action, Comedy, Fantasy, Horror! Enjoy!

Golden Child, l'enfant sacré du Tibet [Blu-Ray], édition Paramount Pictures 2021. Avec ce Blu-ray on sent tout de suite qu'il y a eu un gros travail de remasterisation sur l'image: couleur rehausser, plan stable et image très propre, je ne suis pas déçus de cette sortie... on peut peut être espérer une sortie 4k de ce film prochainement car la copie qui a servie pour ce blu-ray provient d'un master 4k...

This is not a 4K disc. It is a regular Blu Ray UHD from a 4K transfer. I'll most likely purchase more from the PARAMOUNT PRESENTS series!
