Good quality shifter knob/boot, works only as a replacement. Sits too hight on the Golf/Jetta Mk4 post, extending the shifter by 1.5"+, messing w/ the travel distances and causing interference w/ the console.

For about $20 this thing is a great deal! The shifter knob and boot look very upscale. To find just a knob like the one found in 2010 and higher GTIs can go for over $100 on their own, not to mention the boot. The chrome style ring looks top notch as well. Fortunately, my Golf had an adjustable ring that made uninstalling and installing take only a minute tops. I only needed a flat headed screw to pop the old boot and knob off and reinstall.

Very nice! I love the look the feel everything about it. Actually seems like the Jetta is easier to shift with this installed

It’s a nice quality product. Just sits much higher than the stock shift knob on my MKIV Jetta. I haven’t measured yet, but looks and feels about 3inches taller than stock. (Make a fist and set your hand on top of the stock shifter and it’s about that much taller)

Perfect fit

Very clean and sleek. But the metal clamp feels stronger than steel I’ve yet to get it to clamp. And I’ve used 3 people at once to try and crush it

Did not work on my mk4. The diameter to fit the gear shaft is too small on this gearknob
