Korky 87 Flush valve
Replaced 20+ year old valve. The Korky valve installed easy, was simple to setup and works as it should. I would use again.

Doesn't seal between the tank and the bowl
Noticed the old valve had two gaskets and this had only one. First flush showed me why, water flooded onto the floor. DO NOT BUY unless you purchase the extra gasket.

Fixed height solves adjustable height leakage problems,
I tried flush valves from the 2 major manufacturers that allow the height to be adjusted, and the both leaked at the joint of the inner and outer tube. I cut this fixed height valve to the length I needed, which solved that problem. However I deducted one star because unlike the other flush valves, you don't get any bolts, gaskets, or overflow fittings with this one. Only what is shown in the photo.

Huge retainer nut and proprietary threads did not fir old American Standard toilet!
This Korky product looks well designed but is an example of "Most Engineered" versus Best Engineered. The toilet was from the 1980's and the old standpipe I later discovered was probably Ace Hardware. The Korky retaining nut was too large diameter and too tall (.6") to fit into the recess on the bowl of my toilet. I was able to use my old nut (1/4" tall) and force it on - Korky uses "Buttress Threads" versus conventional threads and it work now..... Also the recommended Korky tank-bowl gasket is 3/4" tall and cannot compress as intended. A new Ace 3/8" gasket worked fine. Wasted a LOT of time and paid extra money for extra parts.
