Very good quality product just a little above my granddaughter’s attention span . Very nice sound.

I tried to love the sound. I tuned it( it was grossly out of tune. But the last 4 shortest tines or notes hardly vibrate or resonate at all. The middle 8 to 10 notes are pretty good. Full resonance. I like that it is hollow, with the holes in front and back. It's beautiful. But I want to play the entire instrument. Not just the middle.

So... I already have a kalimba, a wooden one that I love dearly. I decided to buy one for my older sister for Christmas, and this seemed just perfect. It plays beautifully, too. The reason why I am giving this a three star review is because I am not happy with the quality of the product. First, I kind of thought this was going to be made of glass, but it's made of plastic. Had I known that ahead of time, I would not have bought it. And I admit, part of that is my fault for not reading the title of the product fully. Secondly, the sticky plastic film on the bottom of the kalimba was partially peeled off when I took it out of the box. Thirdly, the D2 plate fell straight out when I picked it up and I had to figure out how to fix it. It's still loose. Honestly I would return it if I had the time and money to do so, returning it would require me to buy a smaller shipping box and take time off of work to go to the post office. I now have a twenty-four dollar instrumental that's pretty much useless to me. Otherwise, it's a good product. It sounds pretty. I would recommended it for a child, but not for a gift for an adult. Spend the extra two bucks and buy a real glass kalimba.
