I purchased this about 6 months ago. I was definitely surprised. Easy to install and definitely works . I bought two of them. We tested them and found that it really works!! You can’t open the door from the outside. And it’s easy to remove and a sturdy gadget. I feel very safe knowing…you wouldn’t be able to open the door even with the key!!!!

I am actually using this to help my arthritic mom open my back door deadbolt and not as a locking mechanism. We renamed it the deadbolt wrench.She has troubles grabbing onto the smaller deadbolt tumbturns. And the door sticks in cold weather making it hard for me to turn. I have a dog that needs to get outside faster than my mom can struggle with it.I assume it would work to keep someone from opening the deadbolt from the outside but we have key deadbolts and then inside only type above that. So the product is not needed for it intended purpose. But it fits if we wanted to do it.

Does NOT fit/work on all locks. Mine turning lock was to long and to close to the lock base and could NOT be modified to fit. Great idea for the right locks.

I’m in the middle of a nasty divorce. The husband feels he can come upstairs whenever he wants. He had the keys to the house and legally I’m not allowed to change the locks yet. After he just walked in at 1am I ordered this the very next day. Unfortunately you can’t keep this on the door when you go out. So when I was out, he decided to go in the house to get a few more things. I was alerted by a security camera that the front door had been opened. I caught him leaving with things in his hands. Without a word, I went inside and locked the doors, slipped this over the deadbolt and walked out from the back and through the garage which I locked (and for which he had lost the key to) 😉. He’s screaming that I’m not allowed to lock the garage (his motorcycles are in there still). I told him he shouldn’t have been upstairs and I walked back to my car and drove away. So after I left he thought he was so smart and attempted to get back into the house and unlock the garage. That was not happening. He unlocked the bottom, but the deadbolt wasn’t moving!! He’s complaining to whoever on the phone that I changed the locks on him!! (Damn I must be a great locksmith to change a lock out within 2 minutes) HAHAHA!!! He tried 4 different times to get in while I was up at the police precinct filing a report on him. I watched all of this on the Ring security system! It did exactly what it was supposed to do. Best money spent! 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ stars all around!!!

"You get what you pay for", as the saying goes.. This thing is plastic, doesnt seem like a high grade plastic either. Way too exspensive!! On the plus side it fit well, and I presume it will do its SINGLE JOB of detering a lock picker (not many of those around I dont think).Wont help with "door kick-ins" , home invasion robberies etc. But the lock picker wont intrude in the dark hours. Most burglars dont have lock pick kits I don't believe.Its a hassle to send things back so Ill keep it. Hoping a lock picker doesnt come around in the dark hours.I wouldn't pay what I paid again though. Oh well.

Came on time. Manufacturer’s most of merchandise description is fine except it does not or should I say will not work if deadbolt is in vertical position when locked as there is no slot. If I am wrong I would request the seller to let me know , otherwise it’s made of high grace pvc / plastic and only time will tell if it gives away. I am not returning or asking for refund as it’s of use on one lock.

I've put a new door up, and didn't want 5 different locks on it, like the old door. But the thought of lock bumping and someone getting in real fast (about 10 seconds) is scary. So I tried this. Just put it above the deadbolt knob, slide it down onto the doorknob. Its on. Then pull it off when you want to open the door.I opened the door, extended the deadbolt, then put this lock on. The key can turn just a little. The deadbolt could move about 1/4 of an inch using the key with this on. The bolt was still fully engaged.This might keep an intruder out. It might keep me from being hurt by an intruder or from having to hurt them and have possible legal problems. Its a good thing. 90% of all households have entry doors that can be bumped. The white color kind of blended in with the white paint on the door.

Gives you a little more peace of mind.
