Powermat One Position Charging Mat with BlackBerry Bold 9700 Receiver

Like the oem charger when the BB is not plugged in it does not use electricity unlike some vampire electronics, charges very fast so im pleased with the product and ordered another one. The first time i placed it on the mat it didn't charge but i made a slight adjustment and heard the noise and it worked. The nice thing is there is audio so you can be sure when it does charge and when you take it off a little chime is heard knowing it is operating correctly. The cord that comes with it is very neat and that is a welcome compared to the oem so you can specify the length and tie is to keep the clutter down.I would like to know where i can just get the base to save on cost b/c i don't need a bunch of back door covers. So far i have not been able to find just the base on hereThe only Con with this product is the design of the back cover does not allow you to recharge your phone using the blackberry base charger which uses the two contact points on the bottom since this case is now covering those using those contact points to recharge.There is also a very very slight humming noise when it is charging but it is only audible if you put your ear next to the base so it is not intrusive if your worried about it next to your bed.I did notice it does charge faster than the standard BB charger which is a plus.

When I first saw this advertised I wondered how it could work (I'm an Electronics Engineer) but thought it was a neat product. After my wife bought me the charging mat I read the fine print and found that "enabling" your phone means buying a special phone back with a charging coil in it. (they don't make that at all clear when they advertise the thing). So I found a good deal for a "reciever" for my blackberry on Amazon. It does work, but you have to position the phone very carefully on the mat for it to charge. By the time you get the phone lined up on the mat where it will charge you could have plugged in the wired charger. I still use it, at least you don't have to worry about damaging the tiny plug receptacle on the phone .

I was starting to have problems charging my phone--the connection port must have gotten damaged, so this kind of charger is really helpful. And I guess if you have dexterity issues this would make it wayyyyy easier to charge the phone. It feels like there's a slight magnetic pull when I set my phone on the mat, it's not difficult at all to have it positioned correctly. I need to put some electrical tape over the two white lights that turn on while it charges since I charge it next to my bed, but I have to do that with all electronics in my bedroom, no big deal. Overall, does exactly what it claims to do, seems like a quality product, though generally unnecessary.

...but it still worked really well. I took apart the back cover receiver for use in my Galaxy Note 2. Took about 90 minutes to get it in the back cover of the Note 2, but worked like a charm after that! Wireless charging for $11 and a little bit of elbow grease! This can be adapted to work with the Galaxy S3 and S4 as well.

I ordered the wrong ones. And now it's not worth the shipping to ship them back. I accidentally hit the wrong button when I ordered and now I'm stuck with two useless chargers. I wish they would have had some sort of differentiation between the two chargers so that you don't accidentally hit the wrong one.

I got this for my co workers. I wish they had it for my phone, but I haven't seen one for the MyTouch Slide as of yet.

Great item. Especially when the item is close to the bed. No need to plug and unplug the phone to check messages and such. Bad, lights are a bit bright(staus lights)

I bought but gave it as a gift,,,,they say it works
