Double Lever Capper

This capper is a great tool. This allows secure capping of pop-off tops. One thing I would recommend to someone that has never used this device before to go slow until you feel comfortable with securing the tops. If the cap is secured to quickly it will either break the top or squeeze the bottle which would result in the bottle flying from the area. In addition to this do not go past 180 degrees when pulling the handles down or it'll break the capper.Update 11/17After 4 (5-gallon) batches the capper stopped securing caps. In order to secure the cap in the bottle the capper has to be readjusted multiple times until the cap is totally secure thus increasing the time to bottle. This can turn a 30 minute process into a 2 hour journey when bottling. This capper wasn't designed for the Long haul but it will function.

I found this product to overly meet my expectations. I was originally thinking I'd still have the usual dent in the cap probably. But this design which contains a piston with a magnet retracts far into the device when it's pressing the cap down with a wide cap base. Capper has a thick composite material which flexes slightly but doesn't stress material. Not much force or pressure is need to press cap on. Will keep updated if anything changes

Broke after about 60 cappings

Piece of junk. Don't waste your $. It's a rare thing for a cap to go on straight and clean the first attempt. If you press down too hard the bottle neck will shatter so you kinda have to feel it out and guess if it's sealed or not. Also, it only works on long neck bottles. I had a case or 2 of Red Stripe bottles and had to throw them out. I fumbled around and used it for 3 brews thinking I might "get the knack of it" but ultimately threw it away.

Easy to use and hopefully it lasts. Feels a little weak at times but has never failed me.

Works great for the money. Capped 2 cases of cider with it in no time. Very easy to use

Worked great for the first two 5gal batches then the problem started with the third and forth batch. shattered two necks of bottles and cracked three on the third. The forth batch i shattered two necks and cracked one. looked at the two sides of the capper when it closes, the one side was a little higher then the other. it was crimping the one side before the other so i had to rotate each bottle and crimp it three or for times to seal it. this capper will work good for one or to batches, but be prepared to buy a new one.

Used for five batches. Lots of inconsistent capping and seals. Magnet fill out on second use.
